Full HD treatment? What are you talking about? The game already has HD resolution so how can it get any kind of HD treatment? People like to throw around HD a lot these days, but I just don't think they know what it means.Ghostknob wrote...I will buy it either way but it would be great to see this game get the full HD treatment many older classics have gotten on the PS3. Anyone understand the process well enough to explain it?

Mass Effect 1 on PS3 is just blasphemy, does not belong on it. Mass Effect as a franchise does not belong Playstation in itself.
So you would have Mass Effect fans on PS3 miss out on the start of Shepard's story just so ME1 can stay as an exclusive for your favourite console? Alrighty then. That's not unfair in the slightest...

guys, i think the bigger question is: Has Mass Effect 2 been updated to import ME 1 save files? Because if they didn't update ME 2, then I'm not buying the trilogy whatsoever.
Yes, when the Mass Effect Trilogy edition and the digital download of ME1 are released on PS3, Bioware will release a patch for Mass Effect 2 that lets you import your ME1 save file and all of the decisions and choices that come with it.

BioWare said that? If so, that's good & all but did they?

Yes, I can't find Bioware's original post, but here's a tweet: https://twitter.com/...210438225948672 from one of the developers working on the PS3 version of ME1 that confirms it.

It'll be better. Not perfect, but things like a faster framerate & polished visuals are what I expect.
Its confirmed for same old ME1 engine but has the improved tweaks and lightning effects from ME2 PS3. Sounds like it will have less texture pop ins and a more stable FPS compared to xbawks. I can't wait!

so what happen if Metal Gear Solid 4 get a 360 port, are you going to buy it but complain about Mass Effect 1 shouldn't be on PS3. That would be hypocritical of you.
