Quick question: Will the power reworks apply to MP only, or SP too? (Mostly Singularity since it got the biggest overhaul.)

Things I'd like to see: 

  • High resolution textures (PC version only as the other platforms can't do it.) 
  • Unlock Battlefield 3 armor for SP. (Since it's in there via coalesced.bin anyway)
  • Make helmets removable from the non-customizable armors. Not just in cut scenes, but always.
  • Make Shepard and company stop using M3 Predators and M-8 Avengers during the cut scenes. It seems silly to have a Revenant on Shepard's back and carry the Avenger or use an M-3 Predator instead.
  • Add in holstering animations and the ability to put weapons away out of combat, and in armor as we could in the previous two games. Since your adding things via a huge patch, why not?

Feature is virtually impossible to do on consoles. You won't ever see it in the PC version as a result. You know, the same game on all three platforms and all. This means we are hampered by the lowest common denominator. Hence why armors and some textures were scaled back on all three versions compared to Mass Effect 2. We got normal maps as small as 128x128 vs. 512x512 or larger normal maps on ME2 armors
And BioWare, if you won't do a high resolution texture pack, that's OK. The community has done a lot in regard to that. So if you would, please decrypt the .PCC files or give us a texture mod folder so that we can replace texture permenantly and stop using Texmod or uMod.


Agreed. Quit holding PC players back because consoles suck. Not being able to holster really cuts down on RPing, and a text chat is a neccessity for any PC multiplayer game. Not to mention how you are given all this great customization for guns, and then NOPE it gives you the same crappy gun in every cutscene. That problem has been around since ME1, I can't BELIEVE they haven't fixed it. Actually it's worse, at least ME1 got the actual gun right, even if Shep wasn't trained.

What a pile of crap. Can't believe they actually RELEASED this mess.

Thanks to the Dedicated Folks at Bioware for all your efforts to fix these and other bugs and glitches in an otherwise stellar game !

My Asari Justicar says thanks for the following changes that will affect her battlefield experience...


- Fixed Asari Justicar from not being able to activate Biotic Sphere within range of large enemies

- Singularity power re-designed: 


Singularity no longer has a maximum number of charges and will only be destroyed when the time runs out

Performing a biotic combo on someone floating in the singularity no longer ends the singularity

Base cooldown changed to 8 seconds

Base duration of the singularity changed to 8 seconds

Base power now does 100 points of damage per second to all targets that are in range, even if not floating in the singularity

 Base power sets up biotic combos on everyone that comes into range (only 1 combo added per enemy per cast of singularity)

Rank 3 changed to a damage over time bonus (used to be a radius and duration bonus)

Evolve 1 changed to singularity duration bonus (used to be a hold duration bonus and number of charges increase)

Evolve 5 changed to damage over time bonus (used to be a radius increase mechanic)

Evolve 6 now detonates biotic combos when the singularity explodes

- Can now headshot Banshees, Geth Primes, and Brutes for an extra 40% weapon damage.
- Can now shoot the Atlas’ exhaust port on his back for an extra 40% weapon damage.


I was always pleasantly surprised to learn that there were merciful Cerberus troopers, Geth troopers and others that decided "Naw - I'll let that $%#^% Alliance Special Forces member bleed to death slowly... Because it's NICER - and I'm a nice guy / bot / cyberized abomination."
- Fixed an issue with enemies approaching a downed player to execute, but showing mercy and leaving
Oh well - there's not much room for mercy in this conflict ! 


- Successfully extracting from a match gives 10% bonus credits. This reward does not depend on your squad members – you must extra personally to get the reward.
More motivation to finish round 11 for those folks who might otherwise bug-out !

It wouldn't effect the consoles memory signifcantly. I'm fairly certain that's BS. As I understand it they cut it close in terms of disc space usage on the XBOX discs. Things were cut or scaled back to make the game fit. The third installment has far more cut scenes and full motion video than probably Mass Effect 1 and 2 combined have. Also this game has a multiplayer mode which takes up space that ME2 didn't have to sacrifice. This eats up disc space more than anything else in the game ever could. This is why I believe they scaled back textures in ME3 which were better if present in ME2.

All the ME2 armors which were recycled looked better in ME1, not because the main texture is better, but because the normal maps were larger and more detailed in ME2. Holstering animations and other animations cut in other places, such as all characters using the stupid assault rifle draw animation (and a poor quality one at that) vs. individual animations for shotguns, or whatever the applicable weapon was were also likely cut for this reason. 

Even on the console I'd have taken more frequent loads and a third disc over butchered animations and poor quality normal maps and use of the damned Avenger and Predator when the characters involved may not even be able to equip them.  

As much as I enjoy the MP game, and the game in general (post Extended Cut anyway) this game clearly felt rushed in a lot of ways as it lacks the polish ME2 had. Despite that, it seems like some of the issues in regard to bug fixes are being addressed better than they were in ME2.

Oh and while I'm throwing out wish list items that will never materialize, go back to ME2's quest / journal system. The one in ME3 blows.

I see I'm not the only PC user disappointed with the textures. It's actually worse than ME2 and really bad on Shepard's armour - the one you see the closest. Well it was with my N7 Defender armour. A pixelated mess.

What's even more disappointing is the fact the Wii U is getting optimised treatment thru a 3rd party dev on a platform with no users yet. Not that they shouldn't but is it too much to ask for such a basic respect for PC's users. Removal of controller input was just strange. At the very least please give us a high resolution texture pack. How hard can that be?

Let's see: another nerf for the krysae, can no longer grab geth pyros, and no simultaneous Reegar-Flamer streams

1. Please stop nerfing our guns so much, we need them as strong as they can be for platinum. The krysae would've been perfect for that difficulty before the first "fix".
2. That's the best defense against geth pyros, why take that away?
3. The twin assault was one of the two best things about the vorcha, why remove that?

Most of these fixes r great cant wait to dl.. thx Bioware.

Was wondering if there will a fix for the jumping players in MP. Think its associated with a drop in connection for a few seconds. It really ruins the match for the player and sometimes the whole team. Maybe an option to quit and rejoin the same public match would be good.

To be honest, it was a huge advantage to use that combination as opposed to other race/class ones. 

Realism-wise, I suppose it's possible for a Vorcha to simultaneously activate the Reegar carbine & flamer, but let's be realistic in terms of fairness, no?

So far i only Seen a few of the Fixes i mentioned i'll Assume its being worked on and looked into but Good that this issue has been fixed but yea a little more on the Turret i had it triggered again its when a Player Uses Dark channel and Annihalation field + Stasis it happens when connection issues are really poor usually its when some one that isn't the host Does it hosts have better connection than the other Squaddies do .

but yes Chris thats good i was wondering why my BW wasn't getting the bonus that the one i had with the AP 4 consumable wasn't working would of stated it if i didn't see it here but i did :)

but i'm hoping that the issue my friend is having with the "trying to Join" in game and constantly getting the "Waiting for players" back to back ends its never happened to me which was weird but it happened to him allot >_<

I think it's fair to be honest, the weapon and power are both extreme close range and the only time vorcha players would use that combo would be against a large number of standard enemies or against the boss characters that can insta-kill you in close quarters. Vorcha would need that power in order to increase their chance to survive.

How about making it so you can only join matches in progress when they are the same difficulty that you are searching for in the first place?  It would be nice to fix it so you aren't searching for a bronze or silver match and get thrust into a gold or platinum match utterly unprepared instead.  Not fair to those already in the match, and annoying for the player themselves. Maybe that could be next?

I'm glad for the buffs to singularity, but it certainly took a big hit to duration, radius, and cooldown. Cooldown is a pretty big factor especially when singularity is dodged 50%+ of the time.  Considering that biotics depend on biotic explosions for most of their damage a large nerf to cooldowns is a large nerf to damage (slower BEs.)

With such a high cooldown dodges will really hurt. And with all the radius evolutions gone singularity looks to be quite small unless a there is a significant buff to the base radius that has not been documented.

The DOT evolutions will be pretty insignificant on gold and platinum. Especially considering the small radius of singularity and thus the speed at which enemies will pass  through it.

 I look forward to trying out the revamped singularity.   However, my initial thought is that it needs either a significantly larger base radius, a much shorter cooldown time, or it needs to be undodgeable (perhaps insta-cast instead of a projectile power.)

 These fixes are greatly appreciated but I wish someone would fix the biggest MP issue ignored ;
if a player gets disconnected from the server , let us keep what credits we've earned before the crash .
