Eric, so if you can completely re-work a power from the ground up (like the changes for Singularity), why has no attention been given to Tech Armor???

We're pretty happy with how Tech Armor is positioned right now, and it takes quite a bit of time to re-work a power so we only want to do it when it's really necessary.

I'd like to also say that I LOVE Tech armor.
That is all. Good job.

I have a question for Bioware - "extra 40% weapon damage" sounds like it is multiplicative to total non-headshot weapon damage rather than additive to base weapon damage. Please confirm whether my understanding is correct.

Well it's a little more complicated than that since we have many bonuses and some of them are added together before the final multiplication, but the short answer is that it does multiply the regular weapon damage.

What parts will not be included in the multiplication? Gear? I know ammo power's damage is applied separately.

How do you feel about how drones and turrets are positioned right now?

I personally feel that they are decent powers now. The Sentry Turret may be a bit behind, but I haven't looked at them in a little bit.

There are a lot of things coming in the future that will probably have a big impact on overall balance, so it's hard to tell right now what will happen...

Lots of nice fixes but im disappointed that the Earth DLC weapon mods arent made available with this patch.

We will be releasing them in the near future now that the patch fixes them.

All of this work you guys are doing is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

This.  Pretty incredible number of fixes.  Really excited about rocking some characters that have sat on the shelf for a while, because of bug issues.

Now, if EA could just be convinced to fix Origin/Servers/Connectivity/Reliability.

BioWare has done its part with this patch to the game, now EA needs to step up and do theirs with Origin and the servers.  Saw lots of disconnects last night, mostly other folks in the pug, often the host.  But it also hit me as host, with less than 15 seconds to go on wave 11 as I was backing my way into the LZ.  Really stinks to disconnect, but really stinks on steroids to disconnect just prior to extraction.  Origin decided I was not logged in/on line.

Eric, any chance you can comment on EA fixing Origin and the servers or would they put you on double secret probation for talking out of shop?  Also, any chance to apply a fix, like you did with the RNG store, so we don't lose credits from an objective if we lose connection?

This just made me sad, this right here.  Reworking them would make them decent powers.. Giving them a damage increase, would make them decent powers..   Heck, durability would make them decent powers..

Might as well just empty out the engineer classes of everything but Gethgineer and Demolisher, at least until drones/decoy/sentry get some love.   There just isn't a reason to choose anything other outside of a bronze match.

Delaying the heavy melee mobs so you could thin the herd, or focus fire the heavies down was a valiable tactic to the PUGS where folks can't communicate..

Rank 6 Armor Boost evolution for Energy Drain is bugged if you're playing off host, is the next patch going to fix that as well?

I should elaborate, lest I be considered whining.

Human Engineer's were one of my guilty pleasures, doing damage on heavies while my drone distracted was how I contributed.. I would be okay with the changes IF Decoy/drone's got a little love. Quarian Sentry freaking owns, despite being weak as hell. (Health wise). But Geth engineer encorporates Overload and a multi-use sentry to their armory. The biggest benefit to Drone was the fact it would make Heavy melee retarded long enough that you could use your tech to do some harm.

Now, it is kind of not worth the points to put into a floating (or stationary) glowy thing that everything ignores for the most part. Can we get some love for our Drones/sentrys in the future?

If the drones and turrets are not buffed to make up for the big nerf at least decoys should be buffed. Their sole function is distraction and the explode evolution and shock evolution will be pretty much worthless with melee enemies ignoring them.

I still don't understand how drones/turrets/decoys distracting melee creatures is overpowered but shooty classes taking down bosses in a few headshots is not overpowered. Power classes will take much longer than shooty classes to take down a boss. Doesn't seem balanced to me.

I think engineers are going to go back to being an unpopular class and most people will just be playing shooty classes. Oh, wait, shooty classes is mostly what I encounter already.

Does the melee drone nerf also include Decoy, that's not good if it does, what is Decoy for if it doesn't distract enemies?

I think that the Geth turret is the prime example of what all support powers should be like.

It can be set up to give a monumental bonus to the team, or dish out enough damage to drop units like flies. Comparatively, I find that the basic drones provide little in the way of payout for their purpose, sure they stop bullets, but their actual output is rather low compared to other powers available.

With the shock evolution HE Drones were very good at distracting and cc. It's not direct damage, which I would agree there is a debate over whether it's not just always better to kill faster than distract, but I've been kept alive as my HE more times than I can remember by the fact that my Drone has distracted a boss or cc'd a bunch of mobs.

I'm off to replay ME1 in 3 days and there was a new gun, news of a patch. Wow! Most of those changes are great. Thank you.

- Melee creatures will now completely ignore pets (drones, decoys, etc.) rather than just having a chance to ignore them

No hypno drone :crying:

- Fixed an issue with enemies approaching a downed player to execute, but showing mercy and leaving

Exactly why can't the pyros be grabbed? I don't farm on FBW, but when I'm behind cover and that flamethrower is STILL burning me a grab is a nice save. They're not THAT big.

Remember, size ≠ mass. Although Pyros are near the same size as the other troops, their armor makes them much heavier.
