The names aren't too creative, but here's my list.

[Caldari Ghost]

Drellguard is Rambo and my Fury is Triax. Shadow is Caldari Ghost because she sports almost the same color scheme as the Caldari(all of my characters have exactly the Caldari color scheme, gray with blue lights) and my other characters that possess anamalous properties(teleporting, and biotic charge) are named after certain character elements derived from a universe I plan to write out someday.

I used to give the rest of my humans names specific to a nationality and give them armor color schemes that were a rough approximation of their flags' colors. Most of them are now intentionally boring-sounding names (e.g. Mike, Tim, Steve, Sarah), because there's something I find funny about the thought of some unassuming schmuck off the street having the ability to unleash telekinetic bluesplosions.

My Geth are either HAL, Bishop, or David - movie references .   All other are names like Greg, Tom, Steve or Bill. Some with more flare like Torii.

But I do see why Bioware may think not to bother. The game was designed around promotion. You can rename your character each time you do. Maybe they saw no value in the character name... but they obviously let you name them, so there has to be some value.

I'm pretty sure it's not a matter of not bothering. If they displayed the character names, they would need to hire a staff of thousands, spread over dozens of languages from all over the world just to moderate the names. Not jus the obviously offensive English names like ********er and ********er, not to mention BigFat**** or ****My****, but the equivalent in many other common languages.

Krotard, my Krogan Vanguard. It was so named to mock the stupidity of many Kroguard-using PUGs, even though I rather enjoy the class.

EDIT: Oh, and my Geth, named 'Geth' and 'Geth ' respectively. Seemed... fitting, with the lore.

Oh, and the Geth thing is obviously a Borg joke.  Me and my friends all have 2 Geth, and picked random numbers out of 12 to use.

By Drell Adept's name is based off the character from 24, because Thane always sounded like Keifer Sutherland to me.

I used to name all my chars on a strict 'bob' pattern, but i did run out of variations, i had mr bob, missy bob, capt bob, lt bob, bobarella, bob with nades, b0b (for geth) etc.
At the mo im trying to shake it up a bit more, my fav is Nemmi my AA, i coloured her up to look a bit more like a commando but with some nice dark purple running through it. I can no longer promote my adepts, for i cannot change my beloved Nemmi!
