So what do we know about DA3?
Is going to use Frostbite 2 with has a ton of advantages (besides not being compatible with direct x9 and windows xp FUK)
First we need to know what the Frostbite 2 is capable off:
Information thanks to 3 seconds in google, if you can do better plz do
www.frostbite2.com/
Personal Request:
As ME3 has taught me, non competitive Multiplayer vs AI gives an interesting aproach to the whole multiplayer thing, there is FAR less cursing and doucheness than in games like Call of Duty and is something that isn't exploited by many games in present time.
Also Non competitive multiplayer also means that the development team can be more lax and go wild with the classes and not worry about how mages are super OP, or how the arrow of Death shouldn't 1HK enemies, as long as all the classes have purpose and no single class can win the match alone the match will be fun, and if you throw in some super hard challenges that will only increase the replay value and team effort required to win.
-------------------
DA3 "could" easily have huge Fortess type maps and place 40 players in a heavy enviroment of wave after wave of enemies that come from every direction, while having 6 more players on command post of some kind giving orders to the NPC characters.
THe match ends if the whole castle is taken or if the 6 generals are killed.
ANyways little is known (to me) about what is the time line of DA3 and who is going to be at war with who (can't be as simple as mages vs templars), but I hope this thread will be the breeding ground of the great ideas that will make DA3 multiplayer a thing of legends :innocent:
sorry for the bad engrish

You control the main character friend controls one of your followers.

That's what you'll get: Horde Mode or Team Deathmatch.Maybe both.
Of course you'll have to pay with real money for consumables.

Clearly you've not spent enough time in the ME3 MP forums =P
The two main things I would like to see in the MP(which I'm assuming is a thing based off of what higher ups from EA are saying about not green lighting projects without MP) would be;
> Multiple game modes. All of them co-operative.
> A progression system for gear that isn't RNG based.

I would personally like co-op in a totally seperate campaign optimized for multiplayer.
I'd like this. It will need to have different modes or at least the flexibility to add modes with updates/dlc. The me3 mp is better than what was expected but its gotten stale even with the map/class dlc.
I understand how people are against multiplayer in DA. One nice thing about the me3 mp is the strong community of players you can link up with on the bsn me3 multiplayer message board. The DA:I board is fun all the debates, discussion, sillyness, and all the rest. Now think about being to be able to play this game with the folks on here. Just sayin'

- ME must not affect single player game at all.
- Small teams of 4 people.
- Matches last 15-10 minutes.
- Same model for upgrades and items. In game earned gold and the ability to buy upgrades with ms points or bioware points.
- Wide variety of classes and races.
- co-op of course
- both public and private matches.

Or play matches and use in-game earned credits. The money that people choose to spend in the me3 multiplayer has gone towards the free player class and map dlcs.

Since it's being set in orlais, maybe if they did wanted a competitive thing, they could have the wyvren hunt where you place people to in random groups and you all hunt it down
I'm not much of a multiplayer person usually but I would totally be up for this.

'“The publisher was determined to have it anyway. It was literally a
check box that the financial predictions said we needed, and 2K was
relentless in making sure that it happened – even at the detriment of
the overall project and the perception of the game,” he said.'
Just do it right and do it in a way that works for DA3 (don't just copy ME3, or add a generic tdm/ctf mode). I wouldn't mind a campaign co-op myself (BG/BG2).

Also, expand cross class combos, so players actually cooperate rather than just be on the same side.

I don't see campaign co-op happening at all. Too much down time where that second player is just going to be bored. The only way to compensate for that is to design the campaign with co-op in mind and that would lead to decisions that would compromise the single-player experience.
As for competitive co-op, that just doesn't sound fun. Nobody likes getting CC'ed in any game and nobody is ever happy with balance in those type of games. Don't bother, I say.

In a panel, one of the devs mentioned that a DA3 multiplayer would be like Baldur's Gate's multiplayer. Having never played the game, could someone tell me what to expect?
In short, campaign co-op.
