I think that multiplayer should be separate from single player. So, my idea is that everybody should play nugs. One idea of what the nugs could do is race each other. ( I briefly thought about nug tossing, but that isn't playing a nug.)
You should also be able to customize your nug. Mine would wear a bandana.

How about we capture nugs and then fight them against other players' nugs

I would say no to this not because I wouldn't want multiplayer but because EA would make it a online pass game which I choose not to support on a moral basis.

That sounds good. They can be stored in magical balls that the player can carry. Also, the nugs in balls could be made to navigate levels like in Super Monkey Ball.

Similar to Dark Souls? I don't think that could work in a DA game but I loved it in Dark Souls. I use to grief worlds so bad in that game lol.
It was a shame that Gravelord Covenant was bugged at retail. The premise behind it was awesome. You put the sign down in an area and it would automatically "grief" 3-4 worlds. It would make their enemies much harder. If they died, you gained some of their souls. The trick was wherever you placed the sign in your world, it would show in their world. If they spotted it, they could all invade you together and destroy you. And obviously steal your souls. So, you had to be very smart where you put that summoning sign down. I got very creative in spots they'd never bother to look lol.
Dark Souls is such an unique game. It's a shame they didn't have a way to easily connect with friends/matchmaking. The negatives to Japanese gaming...they just don't understand community in online gaming.

The cool thing about the me3 multiplayer is being able to play with huge variety of other races/classes (good chance the Volus might show up, if you're bored go to the me3 mp board, so much drama over this). Its a nice change of pace since you can only can have a human Shepard. On Tuesday the me3 mp will get a ton of new, free dlc content which will breathe new life into the mp that is sorely needed. The trailer for it is awesome. As a longtime single player only gamer, I'm pretty optimistic that Bioware would do a great job with mp in DA3. Never thought I'd ever say that.
'Retaliation' trailer for the me3 multiplayer.

I liked how Dungeon Siege 1 had both a full, linear singleplayer campaign and a full, more open world and hands-off (though the main quest was still linear) multiplayer campaign, both roughly equal in size.
The fact that it was very mod-friendly (including some campaign mods possibly as large or even larger than the original campaigns) didn't hurt either.

How about sticking to CoD, or WoW for multiplayer? Instead of letting it infest and ruin single player games?

Although I don't particularly want MP for DA3, I don't think it would "ruin" the whole game - they just have to avoid the "galactic readiness" mistake this time. Without it, I doubt ME3's multiplayer would have caused so much rage.

can't the multiplayer be a free DLC? so I don't have to have a useless option in my game.
I never use the multiplayer.

really don't care one way another, but if they do have Mp don't have it like ME3 that galaxy at war map is friggin useless

I'd prefer it if they keep the Dragon Age multiplayer a bit more 'lore friendly'. The Mass Effect's Earth DLC characters are fun to play; however, the first time I saw them, I couldn't help but raise my eyebrows (N7 operatives with swords, etc.).

If they do multiplayer, which is almost a given considering that EA wants all their games to have an online component now, I just hope that they can keep the MP and SP separate.
I wouldn't mind a story reason for there to be an MP, like the mage vs. templar conflict with all different kinds of people on both sides, but I don't want it to influence the SP at all. Mass Effect failed with this big time.
