Update time!

We can now confirm we will have a special guest with us at NNYCC, Kimbery Brooks, the voice actress who played Ashley Williams in the Mass Effect series will be signing and talking with fans at our space in the Dark Horse booth.

I was fortunate to meet Kimberly at San Diego Comic Con this year and she's an amazing person as well as a tremendous talent, don't miss you chance to meet her. To meet Kimberly make sure you show up at her signing times:

  • Friday 3-5pm
  • Saturday 12-2pm
  • Sunday 11-1pm

You lucky bastards. Bundaberg is such a long way from New York. Too far to walk and swim. I really want to meet the actor who voiced Ashley. Missing out as usual. How about someone I don't care who take a picture of Kimberley Brooks. At this moment I can see Ashley Willams visiting New York with all her gear for this.

How does Autographing, panels and screening work at Comic Cons? Are they free or do you have to pay or are they both? I'm going for the first time and I don;t know much about it?

So any chance we will get to play the new DLC at the convention?

Edit:  Content comes out next Tuesday - nevermind.

Does Bioware ever have events in DC? Law school makes it hard to get away to NYC for a weekend *sigh*

Many celebrities at events like NYCC will charge (especially in the autograph area) a few for a picture or signature or they wiwll be available at a promoter's booth for a short period for free . For our staff and Kimberly Brooks, there is no charge. I'm not saying I won't except a cash donation, 6 pack of beer, or similar, but it is totally not required.

Panels are first com, first serve. The rooms only have so many seats and once those are full, they close the doors. I believe this works the same for screenings, but I never have time to attend them, so am not 100% sure.

Hope to see you at NYCC> Say hello when you come to the panel or the booth. :)

It should be interesting to see what is coming next.  I'll admit that I didn't expect to see Harbinger in that Retaliation trailer.

It will be my first time as well (and in NY), so thanks for the heads up! As comming to the booth and panel is my only real reason for attending the show, I hope I can find my way. As for the charge, i'd offer some Serrice Ice brandy but I think the cost of discovering ancient Prothean technology, traveling across the galaxy, searching for Omega, paying 1000 credits at the bar, and returning it for an autograph would be a bit one sided.
In any case, im pretty excited and cant wait to meet "my favorite booth on the Citadel."

Had a great time at the event. I was the dude in the front seat who asked about the collectors in multi/single player. I managed to get an autograph and photo with Kim, Mike, Mac, and even Chris.

This event was more than I could have ever wanted. Not only did I get to meet the writer of my favorite story/game/franchise EVER. Chat with the 'Evil' community coordinator (although he didn't have glowing blue eyes), and the voice actress of Ash (who was very cool btw). But I got to get all three of their autographs on my first issue of the Dark Horse ME comic. Oh, I also got a kick out of exclaiming to the group that "it was my favorite booth on the Citadel," which generated a few laughs. The panel was great, and the revealed artwork was astounding. Needless to say, If I am available next year, i will certainly make an effort to sport some form of ME cosplay as the only ones i saw excluding the employees, were a few N7 hoodies, a Kasumi Goto, a Miranda and anonymous Alliance soldier. Maybe I'll go as Blasto...

A Blasto comic book was the reveal.  There was also some artwork showing Aria in upcoming Omega but no details.  I think all they said on omega was release date being November 7 but don't quote me.

Thats cool your in that.  Oh to the previous question, they also mentioned a Dark Horse compilation of all the previous comics in one big, cool hardback including additional writer/artists notes and commentaries.
