There has been issues over wanting race back, but i may have found a solution or at the very least its going to possibly ease the minds of bioware.

now it seems Bioware will have human races only and voiced, at least until they find, either more money, make them silent(hardly doubt it) or have all the time, resource, and correct story to put all of them in. What i suggest is go the route Dragons Dogma goes, or i think they do it, is basically have your human race but able to add elf ears, cause i think they maintain the same accents. if possible Bioware could also add the dwarves, but i dont know how much each actor cost(quite abit im sure),

so there it is i guess, human race with optional elf ears, its not fool proof, but i think its at least an easy compromise that people can role with.

speak your minds if got anything to add.

Eh. Dragon's Dogma doesn't have different backgrounds for the Arisen, though. No matter what your ears look like, you have the same background.

My point being: I think people are saying, "Give us optional races" because they want that varied background, whether they are from the alienage or they are Dalish. I think the demand is less about aesthetics (ears) and more about playing the role of an elf in society.

What?? It's been confirmed that we HAVE to play as human in DA3? That SUCKS!!!! <_<

At least, BW, give us the option to make a male character who DOES NOT look like a chiseled, big and buff bodybuilder guy. If you can just give me the chance to make a male character who has a similar build to an elf (or a size small guy in the real world ... look around you, BW, not every man on the planet is 6'2 with rippling muscles)... then I would at least be somewhat happy.

But, gosh :(

No it hasn't been confirmed, but it's being assumed since we're probably getting a voiced PC again.

Voicing has very little to do with it, they have actually stated this themselves many times.  Its the cinematics that cause this, because they dont want to have to have cinematics accomodate people of different sizes and shapes.

This also means that every human is going to use the same body model until they want to start putting more zots into their cinematics, or cut down how much of the story is told in cinematics vs how much is told during the normal game.
