I've just started ME3 and have run into a problem for the Priority: Palaven mission - my gun won't fire at all. I can change guns and melee bash but I cannot get any gun to fire. I've restarted the game and also reloaded the mission from the beginning but nothing.
I searched online and see a few others have had this problem but I couldn't see a fix anywhere. Is there anything I can do?

I also tried dying and reviving but that didn't work either.

Yes, I did. I turned it off and went back into the game and unfortunately, the non-firing bug is still there. Any other suggestions? It's pretty frustrating since the game is unplayable right now.

do your powers fire but just not your weapons ?
have you tried changing the weapon loadout and doing the mission ? are you on a first playthrough ? what dlc's do you have installed ?

Yes, my biotics are fine and melee too. I tried weapon loadout and that didn't work. This is my first play through and no DLCs installed.
I managed to finish the Priority: Palaven mission without firing a gun and made it back to the Normandy. I went to the Spectre Firing Range to see if ending the mission/something new would clear the glitch and it didn't. My guns still don't work. None of them. Game breaking bug. Not sure what else there is to do.
Thanks for your help so far nanotm.

I made a new game/character and that one can't shoot either.
I'll uninstall and try again.

Uninstall and then fresh install along with new character creation didn't work. I still can't fire a weapon. Weird.

Solved
In case anyone else happens upon this thread with the same issue, it was the key binding. I had to reset it to the left mouse button since it was set to nothing. No idea how that happened but it's resolved.

This happens to me a lot.
Everytime I start Mass Effect 3, I check the keybindings to verify a special mouse button works.
When it does not work, the keybinding is waiting for the next keypress. Esc is the proper key to press to cancel the keybinding (Note, you can't customize Esc to any key function). I often forget and end up left clicking somewhere, which then unbinds the shoot and sets it somewhere else.
I then forget about it and start a match, try to shoot and go. ??? Fortunately you can rebind keys in the middle of a Multiplayer match!
In Summary, you probably entered the keybinding menu, clicked on something (accidentally?), used left click to get out of there which ended up rebinding it.
I recommend going over all the keys and make sure when you got your gun working, you didn't unbind something else.
