I was looking for info about whether DA3 will be on current systems or next gen systems and I ran across a bit of info on IGN that showed what the cover of the DA3 case will look like and said it would be for Xbox 360. I don't have a link and it might have been a mistake but they said it there. It wasn't in an article it was kinda like one of those things that shows the game (what the case looks like) the rating (it said rating pending) and the developer but right next to the game case it said Xbox 360. Anyone thinks that this means DA3 will be for 360

Maybe it will maybe it won't but its always best to wait for confirmation from the developers of the games then some third party.

I doubt the cover is official. Looks pretty plain. But here it is - They are probably just assuming it will be for this gen.

True I just really hope it is for 360 so it could have an import option.

They've just slapped the logo on a box as a placeholder

That was the link thanks for putting it up.

It will most likely be for both. Maybe the next gen releases will come later. It would be stupid as heck of them to not put it on current gen consoles. Just because a new one comes out doesn't mean the old one just dies, look how long the PS2 went on after the PS3 came out.

Plus, with the carryover data and people switching systems (going from Microsoft to Sony for example) it would make sense to keep it on current gen consoles anyway.

Keep in mind IGN knows as much as you do currently. We have not shown anything to the press yet and their cover and any other DA3 news is as much speculation as what you all are posting here. :)

Will we know more about the game this year?

Possible, but I think it unlikely.

I think if there were anything to say they would have said it 3,000 times during convention season.

To clarify: I'm mocking "convention season" (not Bioware) Why we need so many conventions to hear pretty much the same things over and over and over I don't know.

You should have watched the linkie on the very same page where an IGN guy claims "it's almost certainly for next gen". There you have it.

Because when information goes out, it doesn't assume that everyone out there will hear it the very first time it's released? The only people who pay attention to every single bit of publicity, and who get annoyed when it says things they already know, are the sorts of fans who hang out here. Ultimately, the majority of publicity isn't really intended for you guys (if that wasn't already obvious), just as marketing isn't really intended for people who already know about the product and are sold on it.

Not to mention alot of people like to quote you guys out of context so the need to reiterate information is essential.

It does seem odd to make convention appearances all over the place and essentially say nothing. Everyone already knew DA3 was coming, so all that leaves to talk about is the new engine. But until we actually see the game that's just a meaningless statement.

Well, if you saw a game box for it, it was fake. But yes, it will be on the 360.

Too soon to know for sure but it will probably be available for 360 and PS3.

We won't know for sure until they tell us. I hope it is on 360 even if the next gen console comes out, and that is even an big if right now, since nothing has been said on that front either. Everything with the next gen console release date is all guesses right now.

A day has 24 hours and IGN says a lot,
only what Bioware says counts.

Don t believe what the FOX news of
gaming is saying.

Holy cow, my post got a response from David Gaider! (geek out moment)

Anyway, I see your point there. I suppose I hadn't really thought about it beyond "blah, blah, I already know this already, tell me something new!"
