 I was looking for info about whether DA3 will be on current systems or next gen systems and I ran across a bit of info on IGN that showed what the cover of the DA3 case will look like and said it would be for Xbox 360. I don't have a link and it might have been a mistake but they said it there. It wasn't in an article it was kinda like one of those things that shows the game (what the case looks like) the rating (it said rating pending) and the developer but right next to the game case it said Xbox 360. Anyone thinks that this means DA3 will be for 360 

It will be for Xbox 360. They aren't about to launch the third entry to a franchise on a next-generation platform with no fanbase. If they did that, anyone who played the last two games on Xbox 360 wouldn't be able to import their data into DA3.

I bet we have the same guy. I just got this title screen. I've also heard the Battletoads team will be handling the new platforming levels.

The game is set for a late 2013 release, so that wouldn't make sense.

The forums will explode and everyone will go crazy if no other info is given before 2014. Though tbh I have a sinking feeling that DA3 wont be out before the 1st quarter of 2014. 3 years after the release of DA2. Seems like a good enough time to make an kick ass Bioware standard RPG.

Unless the game's been announced as a console exclusive (which it still might be, though doubtful), the chance of it being released on both current and next gen console hardware is pretty good. I worked for a studio that did one of the PS3 launch titles back in '06, and that didn't stop them from releasing the same game on the PS2 as well.

No. I'm pretty sure Dragon Age 3 is on next gen consoles.

Not really a surprise. While the WiiU comes out in a few months, we won't see the new Xbox until late 2013 at the earliest. The PS4 even later. I don't think DA 3 is coming out late next year. Pretty sure it will be out before Summer next year.

Because when information goes out, it doesn't assume that everyone out there will hear it the very first time it's released? The only people who pay attention to every single bit of publicity, and who get annoyed when it says things they already know, are the sorts of fans who hang out here. Ultimately, the majority of publicity isn't really intended for you guys (if that wasn't already obvious), just as marketing isn't really intended for people who already know about the product and are sold on it.

They said late 2013, there isn't any good reason to believe it will come out before summer.

It's entirely possible they release the game on both systems (360 and next-gen Xbox). The same thing happened with the 360 and Original Xbox back in 2006; a good portion of the 360's early games were also released on the Original Xbox (e.g. Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Hitman: Blood Money). There's no reason to think the same won't happen again, especially if EA is at the helm.

Though, I'd like to think the game will be developed mainly for the current generation of consoles. We already know the PS4 won't be out in 2013; the next Xbox may show up next year, but a recent analysis has revealed that a delay may happen. So maybe DA3 will release next September on PC, PS3 and 360 as is typical, and then it is ported to next-gen systems some months later.
