The creation of a human commoner origin is something some people are thinking about scripting. This thread is for non-modders to suggest ideas for modders. I am not sure if they are looking for ideas from others, but I think if enough people post, several good ideas for a human commoner origin might be found. Most ideas probably won't be doable but it is worth trying.
My ideas:
-Chantry born human orphan inducted as a low level priest. There is some politics or scandal within the chantry that results in them demanding your blood/death, before duncan comes along. The link for this origin could be that your character would come from the most disadvantaged human background, and would have a strong religious influence. At the end your character could ahve an influence over the nature of the chantry or over how poorer humans in fereldan are treated.
-Chasind wilder human. Unwanted by local Ferelden humans, beasts and elves, the wilders nevertheless eke out a home for themselves in the wilds, bound by clan and tradition. Your clan has tensions with the Ferelden settlements nearby, but when your clan is decimated by darkspawn, duncan offers you help rebuilding and defending whats left, as long as you join the grey wardens. This origin would have a strong link to the clan and chasind traidion, and would be an interesting contrast to the 'civilized' humans.
-Human Peasant from Denerim, or Redcliffe. Born into a poor, rough and tumble family, your family has lived on the sidelines of human settlements for generations. Although some warrior ancestors have achieved brief glory serving in Ferelden's military, your family has a history of abuse, alcoholism and a ne'er do well reputation. For some reason you are forced to serve with duncan or face a grisly fate due to a misunderstanding. You have a chance to earn permanent nobility and respect for your family line, redeeming it due to your actions against the blight. Perhaps you can raise awareness of the poor humans throughout Ferelden.
