If there are Collectors (enemies), there must be Protheans (playable).

why?

1. For great justice!
2. For obvious thematic juxtaposition.
3. For convenience: similar character models.
[4, and this is controversial, because they're equally plausible within lore at this point IMHO]

Please don't discuss point 4, it's nothing more than my opinion and I don't want this discussion to go to hell.

Then quit mentioning playable protheans.

Discussion fixed.

You don't suppose it'll look something like this?

That's not true at all. My signature linked to a thread listing details of the Dragon Age 3 leak, but it was then changed without my consent and my ability to put links in my signature was taken away.

Oh the reactions, the speculations. You'd almost think they did this on purpose to foment discussion.

I firmly belive they intentionally leak small things like this just for that purpose.

Exactly. They did it on purpose. There's no way Eric didn't know the Responder Loadout doesn't exist yet. Just TOO silly a mistake.

Hope this isn't true. They need to fix their damn game so that BASIC POWERS WORK before they charge us for ****ty maps and more useless weapons.

Or y'know... the discussion could revolve around things other than the highly contested, ultimately arbitrary notion of whether or not it would be "lore-breaking", since that can of worms specifically is what makes the discussion so rancorous.

Anways, I was mostly joking about the protheans, only pointing out that if you were to stipulate Collectors being in new DLC, Protheans would fit in well with that (esp. since all new DLC thus far has included new playable characters).
The main thrust here is that we anticipate DLC but haven't had any official announcement, yet today's slip up indicates it's likely in the works.

  • A major patch is coming most likely on Thursday, and is slated to fix a wide variety of bugs.
  • All MP DLC thus far has been free; furthermore many of the DLC weapons have turned out to be pretty decent and occasionally awesome.

Your argument is invalid.

This will be awesome if they are actually adding a medic type of class.

Yeah, a medic type class would be interesting. It would be especially interesting how the community reacts to it, with all their focus on raw damage output. Support doesn't really get valued that much. I'm curious if that notion would change with a medic.

its probably the loadout for a new char and codename for the patch would be responder, just like they did wiht kazumi zaeed and liara in the me2 dlc's, not to mention the 2 main dlc's so far for me3, its due to get at least 2 more :)

but hey they need ot fix the things they broke in the current patch before releasing a new one :(

They shouldn't have edited you they should have simply banned your rump from the forums.  You got off lucky (90% of the grieved, censored people on forums get off lucky, you are just one of them.)

medic class = LAME

Just my opinion, of course. You're under no obligation to agree. It seems to me that you could have gear allowing an existing class to be better at support and revive without having a full-blown kit centered around it. There's really no need to add that to the ME3 MP universe at this point.

I, for one, would LOVE a pure support class. Love love love. That's THREE "love's." THREE.

So why wouldn't there be a need? We have plenty of combat support classes and pure offensive classes, but not a single health one.

Surely an engineer (think N7 Demolisher) that has a small pylon which periodically heals people would be useful. Or perhaps a combat medical drone that occasionally dispenses health and follows them around.

A nice reliable but not over-powered support class wouldn't be a bad thing, the game doesn't "need" anything. It should have it, if its fun, works and actually fills in some kind of role without being completely redudant*

*For example, Wraith is slow, accurate, powerful but fast to reload, and fairly light. AT-12 is fast, inaccurate , not as powerful and slow to reload. While being much heavier.

We already have gear that incrase shield survival and characters that help (Geth Engineer and N7 Demolisher) but not a single one for team health, (Vorcha obviously do not count).

Argubly shields are your real form of health, but health is a sort of buffer for players and it's only resupplied via medpacks of waves.
