I still think Grey Wardens are immortal.

But what kind of life is it when you're nothing but a ghoul.

None, your Grey Warden is going to die when the taint gives.

I'd say that about yours, however I know it isn't coming.

Grey wardens are stronger then darkspawn so there really is no telling of the power the taint may really hold, maybe the potion from the warden's keep dlc is just the first step to unlocking the taints true power be it good or bad in the long run.

If it's the first step I doubt Immortality is included.

Eh, the closest the immortality the Warden can hope to get is a Blood Mage Warden who was total bros with Avernus. So that's like, two centuries. Not bad.

what I meant was the first towards immorality not that they are immoral, Although it could possible a select few could be immortal such as the first warden and others in key positions, because really the grey warden command structure is kinda vague.

Seeing how easy it was to survive the joining in Awakening we might a well have everyone in Thedas drink up and become immortal.

Wait... they can die during the joining? I've run through awakening a few times now with no deaths.

. . . no.  The only one who dies in the Joining is Mhairi.  Sigrun can die from later events in Awakening, depending on your choices, but all the Awakening companions (sans Mhairi, and Justice who can't be put through it) invariably survive their Joining.

My proof is that there is no documented death of a Grey Warden due to taint.

A Warden either is killed or goes for the Calling.

It is PRESUMED he or she is killed there, but nothing is said what happens to a Warden who isn't killed.

That's not proof it's wild speculation based of  scant "evidence". I'm not trying to be rude her, but I honestly think it sounds like a load of BS at this point.

I feel the same way here, it's so stupid to build up a character like the Warden to then just abandon him/her

The grey warden taint argument reminds me of this:

As for the Warden... without the blight or darkspawn, the Warden really has no place in the world. I'd rather see more of Thedas than just the parts with darkspawn.

I agree that they built up the Warden and just threw him in the garbage. I understand that they want different heroes every game but I would at least like a dlc where we are the Warden again.

About the whole immortality thing. It's interesting to think about. I never really thought about it but anything is possible I suppose.
