I Want New Monsters

I like that consistency. I like how this setting can have vampires (hunger demon abominations), undead (demon possessed corpses), and talking trees (demon possessed tree) and all of them have very similar reasons for being.
That's fantastic.
...
...
...I want more monsters now. Big ones, scary ones, some as large as your head! Tentacle beasts, spiky beasts, slimy beasts, half-men, shapeshifters, skin-takers, skyscraper tall monsters, flying monsters, burrowing monsters, sea monsters, earthen monsters, scene stealing monsters, ... my sister's cat.
They add variety to the game. They have their own special feel and hopefully mechanics (otherwise it's a guard-goon in a different skin). I'll never forget my glee at coming to the Dalish camp expecting some tree-loving nonsense to be the main quest only to find out that I have to deal with stopping a plague... a werewolf plague. That's the most metal plague of all!
Yes, this isn't a fully serious thread starter. But I really would like to see many different styles of enemies. New beasts and monsters along with standard rank-and-file soldiers and goons. I got tired of fighting spiders, shades, and humans in DA2.

But, yeah, I agree. New monsters with lore/codex entries would be interesting. I also want to see more demons and more variety with them, too. (Why are all desire demons female?) Is there a glutony demon that's HUGE? What does an envy-type demon look like? I wanna see weird monsters, too!

Same. A greater variety of baddies would be really nice. And more varied boss fights/boss monsters. Corypheus was a challenge, and a real treat.
Even if they stick to spirits, huge monstrous animals, dragons, and humans in DA3, there's still room for variety and improvement. A chevalier fight, for example, should feel completely different from a fight against rogues or apostates or templars.

I'd love to see more variety with the demons. Why do all Sloth demons have to look like Shades? Why do all Pride Demons have to look the same? More to it shouldn't different abominations look completely different. Like a rage abomination which is unfocused in its growth and muscular while a desire abomination looks... I don't know maybe sickly, small, and needy or the opposite.

For one thing chevaliers should have a sort of group-mind like AI thing going on with them. They're so well trained that they opperate as a whole. Meanwhile your standard street filth gang fights disorganized and are easily controlled.

Exactly. Even within just humans, if you improve combat AI, there's a whole realm of possibility for interesting new encounters. I'd honestly like to fight fewer criminals and crazies, and more organized groups like the chevaliers.

On that note, while I would love more baddies and the sup-types, I would 1st prefer a bigger boost to AI for sure, now that you bring it up.

Just don't make them arbitrarily immune to physics forces. That was the most annoying thing about being a Force Mage in DA2--oh look, none of my CC abilities work on these Shades, Abominations, Demons, Dragonkin, Spiders...so basically almost half of the game's battles.
Pure spirits like demons in the Fade I can see being immune to physics forces. But just about everything else in that list has fleshy bits, and physics should work just fine on those.
Hopefully Frostbite 2 will offer the devs more room for physics during the combat. I'm getting sick of feeling like all my Dragon Age combat takes place in a special bubble divorced from normal rules of reality.
