About to finally do Warden's Keep. I was wondering if it was possible to kill both Sophia and Avernus. I mean they are both corrupt and I wouldnt mind getting their loot!

You can kill both. Here's what I recommend doing:
1. When Sophia asks you to kill Avernus, agree to do so. However, before you do, use the persuade option to ask for a reward for doing so. If your Coercion and Cunning are both high enough, you'll be able to get some gold out of it.
2. Head to the tower and kill Avernus.
3. Return to the Keep and close the Veil.
4. Once the Veil is closed, ask about the money. She'll tell you of a small cache in the room you met her in.
5. Finally, tell her you've kept up your part of the deal, so you can kill her with a clear mind.
This way, you kill both, get their loot, and get 8 Gold out of the deal.

I did it by attacking Sophia right away, then while talking to Avernus (Sophia was dead already when I met him), I told him that what he did was wrong, he said something about that meaning a lot coming from a fellow Warden. After the fight was over, he asked me what his punishment would be, and I killed him for his crimes.

That works too, but you'll miss out on the gold. Not that there's a lot of it.
Whatever you do, just don't get Avernus to "help" you

Yeah, I hate that guy. Who the hell fireballs "allies" three times in a row? Once might have been a mistake. Three times starts to seem intentional.

I generally goad Sophia into attacking anyway. It's a pretty quick fight, though in close quarters, it can be tough. I then wander off to find Avernus, tell him we can be allies until the current demon incursion threat is cleaned up a bit, do that whole fight while Avernus undoes what he did a few hundred years earlier, and then (mainly because I want his robes anyway... ) I just say "yeah, time to pay for the crimes" - he takes it like a man anyway and none of my party ever seems to bat an eyelash. A couple of times I have let him live, but there's no real benefit to it that I can see.

agree to help sophia
talk to avernus and agree that the keep must be cleansed
tell sophia you need help cos he's too powerful
kill avernus and take his robes
close the veil
kill sophia (something about having a clear conscience)
and get some sweet armour (warden commander set - looks heaps better than the dragon armour, better stats too iirc)
alls well that ends well
