Can we have them this tme around? Or atleast something like the old republic, where there are 4 types of bodies.

Body Sliders would be great as they would give more customization to a character. I'm totally on board for this. Hope bioware take it under consideration at least.

The character creator could be more detailed and improved in many ways in my opinion.

Like saint row, sure, I've no problems. I'm down for chubby protagonist.

They sound messy. And if provided, wouldn't there be an immediate outcry for body shots? Those of us who are in committed relationships might find ourselves in deep trouble if either of those were implemented.

What do you mean by this? Like being tempted or something?

Yeah... I feel like creating armor sets that could accommodate anything but the standard male/female body type is going to be a big barrier to this. Fat Qunicy might be leaning against the wall and have half of his armor phasing through the wall if it is much larger than what they had envisioned for the scene.

This is, partially, why they don't do different races for the PC, either. They can make an NPC with a certain body type, but they can't make armor that is customized for every body type if the Inquisitor is Tall, Short, Fat, Skinny, Elven, Dwarven, Qunari, etc., with every shade of difference in-between.

If they are going to be doing extra work for armor that respects differing body types, I'd rather they just accommodated different races instead.

I would love! to see some. An athletic female warrior with some muscles needs to be build.
But since the game very likely will be loaded with tons of cinematics I really doubt they'll implement them. Due to clipping issues and camera position.

Clipping and animation is a potential problem.

Maybe they could allow you to pick how toned your skin texture is, without actually changing the shape?

I'd love this as well.  And I think it would be possible.  Dragon's Dogma had an amazing character creator which included a great deal of customization for bodies, everything from super cut muscles to super over weight, and it had a decent number of cutscenes focused on your character.  However was no where near the amount of story focus and conversations that DA3 would have so there might be a limit on what can be done.  Still I feel like that it should be possible.

yes please! I've been craving this since Origins.

And i agree with the, "if we cant have sliders, can we at least have 2-3 different body types"

Then how come other games have that option, if it is so difficult? ;)

Not likely to happen. They'd have to make multiple versions of each cinematic where The PC physically interacts with someone or something.

That would work.

Would like more toned Warrior characters.

I think the TOR system would be perfect. We don't need sliders, just a couple basic types to choose from.

...indeed, the male underwear model's breasts were a little large... need to scale those back next time... :P

.. joking aside ...  having multiple body shapes would be great, like those in SWTOR. My mage can be a little waif, but it might be nice to have my warrior be a bit more on the awesome Olympic muscles side.
