The main problem with DA2 was not having enough development time to 'sell' their ideas properly.

So does that mean by ignoring what you say they listen to everyone else?
I too am glad I'm not on the team, but I look forward to the result and will support in any way I can!

Agreed completely. My gut says that DA 3 will be epic. They seem to have the time. They have the usual stellar writing team and everything has been put in place for an epic story.
And at this point, there is a portion of the audience who will hate it no matter what. People on this very forum. Why? You got me. But if you take them for what they are, and as long as they don't troll metacritic with their agenda, I expect success.

Other than the abomination of the "Ending", ME3 wasn't bad and if the rumours are true we can hold 2 people responsable for that Charlie Foxtrot. 2 people out of an otherwise awesome writing staff, who are now pretty much held hostage by that abomination of an ending But on the whole ME3 was a good game, and a really great buy even with its cut content and content purposefully held back for future DLC just so the Corperate Overlords can get an extra 10 bucks out of you, but thats a business issue not development. ME3 was not a terrible game though
DA2 - in of itself was a also a solid game and if DA2 had been kicking off a new Franchise I don't think it would have got as much negative press beause while it did a lot wrong as a "Dragon Age" game as a title it did a lot right as a game. It got so much negative fan reaction because "we" Collectively were expecting a sequal on par to Dragon Age Origins and DAO was a tough act to follow:and again Executive Meddlimg contributed - shorter development cycle, less player Agency, dumbed down RPG element, reused enviroments all contributed, if it had been kicking off a new franchise trilogy with Hawke as a protagonist I think everyone would be been fine with it, as it was however, it came off as a second string Dragon Age game. Thems the breaks.

15 minutes isn't going to ruin an entire game or franchise for me. ME3 was the best game in the franchise from start to finish. The fact people still discuss ME3's ending and how bad they think it is just goes to show you how many people actually care about the game. Nobody is complaining about Borderlands 2, Fallout 3, or Rage's ending? Why? Because nobody cares about those games. They have no emotional attachment to the universe, characters, or story. If they did, you'd see that 99% of gaming today has infinitely worse endings. The fact people still discuss the ME franchise today is a success in itself. DA2 is NOT a bad game. Had it came out before DAO, it wouldn't receive half the criticisms it gets.
They'll be fine. They seem very passionate and love their coworkers. The little info on DA3 so far has been very positive in my eyes.

That's really subjective. ME3 isn't objectively better than ME and ME2. There are people who prefer ME, people who prefer ME2, and people who prefer ME3. The same goes for DAO and DA2.
I enjoyed ME3, but not as ME or ME2. Not only for the content (the only part of the game I really loved was the Genophage arc) but expecially for the great quantity of auto-dialogue. I didn't like the endings in the vanilla game because they didn't explain the differences between them. With the EC, I'm fine with the endings (though I don't like the A,B,C choices), and I really like one of them, to my surprise.

Gamers are going to hate on the games because it is not what they specifically want. The game could be stellar, but because it does not have most of the features a particular person wants it is a bad game.
Which in their opinion is correct. It is simply not the game he/she wanted. That is why I take reviews and opinions here on the BSN and elsewhere with a grain of salt.
