What are some video games or video game moments that actually made you feel a little teary eyed or at the very least you feel executed an emotional part of the story well?

In ME2, I felt bad for Miranda and Thane after reading their dossiers.

Other games include Quest for Glory 4 when Katrina sacrifices herself to save your from Ad Avis, the intro to Mega Man 2 (don't judge me) and pretty much any Civilizations game on Deity where I get SO close to winning, and then get wiped out by a rival group.

There is also Persona 3 FES. Akihiko's resolution after Shinjiro's death. The ending of persona 3 fes itself is also bittersweet and very satisfying.
Cole's good ending in infamous 2 as well
That's off the top of my head

Video games can't do that about me, unless the devs use some kind of long and moving/tragic premade cinematic to make me so (The graphic of games are too unreal to force me that way). Not happened yet.

In Dragon Age Origins, when Shale died at the Battle of the Forge. I loved that giant walking lump of rock
In Starcraft 1 when Fenix died. I hated myself and I hated Kerrigan even more.
In Halo 3 when Srg Johnson died. ****ing Spark.

Finding Vault 11's history in New Vegas didn't make me teary eyed but did stun and sadden me.
Same for most of The Walking Dead and all of Spec Ops: The Line.

The whole games 'Blade Runner' from Westwood. So well put together and written, channels the movie and is a piece of art for itself.
Played it as a teen. Still havin this balcony moments. Seein the movie and the game is combined in my mind..

Well it didn't make me teary eyed, but really really really angry. I played rest of the game through in pure anger, after Ghost and Roach get killed in MW2.
There's been few more, but I can't really remember too well

Dude, that DLC just killed me inside.
As for Metal Gear... Well, I already told you about that. Never got emotional from MGS for some reason.

I'm probably misunderstanding, but... nah, you never told me anything about that. In fact, don't think we ever talked lol.
And yeah, I know... that DLC really did what both XIII titles couldn't IMO, REALLY touch you.

He says goodbye to everyone, including the player in a sense.
It's bittersweet, and yet so sad, like letting go of a loved one, knowing you'll never see them again...
The best or perhaps worst part is you'll get that hole punched in your chest feeling right at the ending of the game.

Not you. I meant Arch One Eviathan, lol.
We had a discussion in the past about how I didn't get emotional over Metal Gear. That's what I meant.
Well, I love XIII and XIII-2, and I think it's because they're so well done. I never liked the gameplay when I first started out. Initially, my only motivation to play that game was the story and the charaters.
There were a lot of moments that really just... Hurt. I cried quite a few times in XIII. Only once in XIII-2, not including Light's DLC. Light's DLC was DEFINETLY the most tear-jerking moment though.
Love the avatar by the way. <3
