It is using Securom on EA Store. So you have 5 times install limit but there must be a revoke tool with using that tool you can install your game more than 5 machines.

I have so far used 2, one on my office PC and one at home. I'll probably install on my laptop also but I might be buying a new laptop in the next few months. I know ME have 3 so if this the same, I'll have to call EA then but I'm hoping they have increase the number of install allowed.
The game does not have an install limit, nor does it have SecuROM.
It just has a simple disc-check if you have the disk. If you purchased it off of Steam, Valve uses their own DRM (can't play on the same account simultaneously on two computers while they're online).
You do not have to worry about anything, thankfully.
ME had a very different DRM setup, and BioWare/EA changed it significantly for DA:O.

Could you be so kind and explain or post a link to the info considering what steps should I take to install it on more than 5 machines.
cheers
Why would you possibly need it on more than 5 machines?

Interesting. I may install it on my laptop. Is there an easy way to synch my saves with my two machines?[/quote
Find your characters folder in your game folder, make a copy, and transfer it

And I believe it is 5 times activation limit, not install limit.

And what's the difference between installation and activation in this case? I find none, since what's the point in installing the game if you cannot play it without activating. Or have I misunderstood you?
I wish any official could comment on this to resolve the doubts >.<

Because with all of the messed-in-the-head DRM issues, what the program considers a different "machine" is fairly vague.
Some things that have been shown to require re-activation and use up one of the 5 for ME:
-Changing motherboard.
-Changing OS.
-Changing Vid Card.
-Major driver update.
-Windows Update Packs.
-New network devices.
-New sound cards.
-Flipping EA the bird in your underwear on webcam.
Basically, any major changes to your system - hardware, software, or otherwise - can lock SecuROM into requiring another activation. So, if you install it on your Desktop, update to W7, update your BIOS/Mobo drivers, and install a new graphics card - that could be 4 activations right there without installing it on any other hard drive.
Thankfully EA decided against such insane measures and just let BioWare put in a disc check.

As you said, DA doesn't use SecuROM, so that list is pointless to the question at hand.Scimal wrote...

His exact request was how to install it to 5 machines, not "how do I reinstall to a machine if something goes wrong". Hence my question as to why you'd need it installed on 5 machines at the same time.
Perhaps the grammar is wrong in the original question, but a question like that smells suspicious in my mind.

I ment installing it on a few machines (like my laptop and 2 PCs - both in different flats) and reinstalling it due to the os/devices change aswell, sorry if i didn't put it clear enough. Now cut the conspiracy theory

Actually, when I did that, it used 66 activations. Good thing that tool they released the next week removed all of them, eh?
