I love the Geth Hopper/Sapper idea.

Could also be nice to see some manner of combat engineer (turian?) that deploys a temporary barricade as cover! It's not my idea, but it came up in a thread a while back and I love the idea so much.

If I'm being unrealistic, Rachni. Preferably both a smaller, less tough soldier form and a bigger, tougher, biotic-enabled Brood Warrior.

Generic Wishlist:
Chargeless Vanguard: While I'm wishing on a star, A.Rush/Barrier/Warp plz. An alternate Krogan Battlemaster with ARush/Barrier/Nova would be pretty cool too. 
Cloakless Infiltrator: TurInf or BatInf would be great choices here. You could have their passive powers boost movement speed and reduce their ability to be detected by raw proximity to enemies.
More Tech Power variety: I've never been impressed with Fireball and Iceball as futuristic applications of advanced near-sentient programs and 3d printing technology.
 * How about some more mine variety? Heavy anti-armor mine deployed like a Supply Pylon that only activates on armored targets? Claymore-like, with directional detection and releasing a cone of damage?  Warp Mine?
 * Deployable, short range high power remote-detonate blasting charges?
 * Deployable shields like the Geth hex barrier from ME1?
 * Temporary batteries that can be "cast" on other players to boost their shield recovery? 
 * Deployable remote sensors that regularly cast enemy-revealing sensor pulses?
 * Combat Sensor and Combat Jamming VIs that give you a radar and reduce the enemy's ability to detect you respectively?
More Drone variety: I've never been impressed by the glowy-floaty-orb either. I'd much rather have actual physical drones. The taser attack is, well... fairly weak in terms of FX and effect. I can think of some interesting mechanics: 
 * Slave-fire guns that float over your shoulder and fire at your crosshairs every time you pull the trigger.  Could upgrade to have multiple gun drones that fire with you, or perhaps upgrade from a floating pistol-like weapon to a floating SMG, shotgun, or maybe AR or SR. By tying its fire to player trigger pulls, you don't remove the fun of aiming and make the player bored while his/her pets do all the work, but you also get to put in-game all that stuff the Codex says about drones serving as force-multipliers.
 * You could also have "boomerang" like drones that would be arced like a thrown power, do some high-power strafing runs on the target, then return to recharge. 
 * Drones with a cutting torch that latched onto the target and cut into it, doing DOT and weakening armor - or triggered the Husk Is On Me Oh God Get it Off type animation for the more humanoid enemies. 
 * Drone flocks - two or three gun drones all hitting a target designated with a power like Tactical Scan would be really sweet.
 * Support drones - fly near a targeted ally and either recharge shields - or equipped with a mini omni-shield and try to deflect incoming attacks?
 
More realistic classes I'd like to see, though: 
Asari soldier/sentinel/infiltrator/engineer  
Turian vanguard/adept/infiltrator/engineer
 
^-- those two races have had fully rounded high-tech militaries for centuries longer than humanity. It makes perfect sense for them to have complete access to all six classes. Bonus points if we get Asari wearing actual helmets, further bonus points if they're the extended variant of human helmets like in ME1
Salarian sentinel
^-- given just how extreme we see their focus is on subterfuge, it's not completely unreasonable to keep them sort of pigeonholed into the tech role. Nonetheless, a beefy Salarian soldier would be just as fun as a turian female. We see tech-armored salarians in ME2, so I'd like a shot at 'em at some point.
Quarian soldier/sentinel
^-- frankly a QME with warfighter gear and a harrier is a VERY good approximation of a Quarian Soldier, but they're both positions we could reasonably see filled. I'm astonished that the Quarians, who have been living around leaky eezo engines (which we know are linked to the rise of biotic powers in other species) aren't the second best biotics around after the Asari.
Geth soldier/sentinel
^-- having them based around the Geth Juggernaut would be good clean fun. Lots and lots of untapped potential here: the ME1 assassination skill, Geth Hoppers, Geth juggernauts, siege pulses, geth hex barriers, deployable Geth gun and rocket drones,  ME1 Geth Prime style "leadership aura" that confers small bonuses on all teammates...
Batarian engineer/infiltrator
^-- BatInf would be another good spot for ME1 assassination.

I personally have no interest in protheans, or further drell, krogan, or vorcha. Out of all the non-council species, I'm really mostly interested in the nonhumanoid Rachni. We've only ever seen them as adversaries fighting essentially naked. I've always been intrigued by the thought of seeing actual armed and armored organized Rachni.

According to Thane's information, they'd probably do it like he would snap the neck of a krogan. From above.

the BIGGER problem is are you really going to do this to a ravager? Or an Atlas? :P

It might be easier to tag the enemy with a sticky grenade, let them panic a moment (Or get staggered) allowing time for the assassin to escape, then -boom-.

This also fixes the problem with snapping the neck being so final vs shadow strike which can be survived if you don't throw a good bit of effort into upping it's damage.

:o I can't second this hard enough. These are all great ideas, without being over-developed.

Seriously, I'd love to see a lot of these Mass Effect 1 concepts revived and brought into ME3's system as playable races. Especially the Infiltrator with Adrenaline Rush, or geth with a Siege Pulse (am I the only one who sees that as a good option for a grenade power on a Juggernaut kit?)

Thinking more on combinations so there's less overlaps that work within the lore might be:

Krogan (female) adept: (with the genophage canonically cured[?] the krogan can afford to let their females to fight and die to protect their future children) Slam is a must, new Singularity would be boss, Barrier would make a decent enough third power but CG might be better.
Geth prime or more realistically trooper soldier: Hunter Mode, bring back ME1's Assassination in some fashion perhaps that would deal massive damage but drains shields (in combination with HM would make the trooper very high risk high reward), DoT obfuscation cloud that allies can see through as a higher evolution.
Turian (female) engineer: (the turians likewise can't afford to shield their women from battle, especially with the heavy casualties at Palaven) Cryo Grenade, Defense/Combat Drone, Sabotage.
Salarian sentinel (m/f): (likewise, the salarians cannot keep their biotics in Intel roles any longer) Defense Matrix, Dominate, Overload.
Drell infiltrator: (because assassins, man) Tactical Cloak, the Assassination power described above, and perhaps a power or grenade that disperses caltrops that slow enemy advance in a wide swath and deal DoT and/or expose them for further punishment.
Batarian vanguard would seem a natural fit, but the batarians are very limited whereas, say, vorcha are plentiful. So I'd say vorcha vanguard with Bloodlust, BC, and Reave/Warp/Lift/Singularity so he can sent off his own detonations.

Drell Infiltrator focusing on CQC would be fantastic. Think Thane from ME2.... and ME3. Instead of Sniper Rifle damage for cloak... give them shotgun or Melee damage or something like that.

Turian Infiltrator would be nice as well. Could keep the same Turian stability stuff to work with Sniper Rifles that have multiple shots. Tactical Cloak could stay the same. For other powers, I'm not sure exactly what else they could have to make them different. Maybe Concussive Shot on an Infiltrator could be ok?

Asari Sentinel has many possibilities. I'd go with Dominate, Barrier and maybe a grenade of some type.

Loving the class ideas, and I am really enjoying the fact that we have developer feedback within a thread about fan requested character class.

Also in regards to my Geth Hopper idea: I pictured this class as a cloak-less infiltrater. In place of TC to avoid enemy fire you have Evasive Protocals, werein the Geth Hopper gets on all fours and skitters across the ground (think of it as an extended dodge that you have control over), thus providing a harder target to hit, as well as capturing the animalistic nature of the Hoppers from Mass Effect 1.
