...isn't death the tightest of all closure?

Hawke didn't die. The Warden may or may not have died (and even if the Warden lived, even if they didn't go off with Morrigan his or her fate isn't exactly known, no closure there).

Besides, there's a difference between a series with the same protagonist and a series with a new protagonist each game. =D

I thought the writers fed off of our tears, not the ritual sacrifice of pixels?

The Warden had an optional death, w/ numerous ways to survive. Hawke couldn't die at all. I think protagonist # 3 will be safe with them odds.

And yet Hawke and alive Warden have no closure where dead Warden does have closure, not wild speculations and implications.

well its debatable if he/she lives or dies theres no closure for Shepard if you pick destroy. Maybe he's alive but fu## knows with the way they ended it . I'm really looking forward to this da3 just hope they give us a good ending where our choices matter :/

If you kill yourself over a game, I don't think Bioware really has any control over that. What are they supposed to do? Sell the game with anti-depressants?

Whether or not your protagonist dies in DA3I will probably depend on your choice.

Effectively, yes. The less said about the ending of ME3 the better.

And after the ME3 deastier my expections for DA3 are very low indeed.

I'd rather not have interaction from any of the former protagonists or influenced party members; when you do you get something... less than optimal like ToS2. ~_~

Until Bioware says otherwise, your Warden or Hawke is off doing either whatever the epilogue hinted at or whatever is in your headcanon. Don't worry so much about it. =D

I agree and its really messed up that we have to even request the ability to actually win a game we play. Apparently the trend now at least for Bioware is to end a game by making you lose. Please don't do this to the DA franchise I can still play in this world without needing Anti anxiety drugs.

A funeral service for Shepard would've been a much appreciated addition to ME3's ending.

Bioware have heard your concerns and are preparing a Shepard Autopsy Film DLC for release later this year

Heroic self sacrifice seems to be a common trend among RPGs now a days. I'd like to see them do something different, but I don't think they will. To save the most lives and get the happy ending for the rest of the world you'll most likely have to die.

You know, you could have killed your PC at the end of Origins. I don't remember a lot of complaints about that . . . .

What kind of chump would do that when you can bang a witch and kill the Archdemon and get off scot free

seriously it's win-win all around

This attention-needy child is putting spoilers in this title.

Change it, mods.

Some of us roleplay our decisions rather than just picking the best one.

You probably think no one should have killed Connor or Isolde, as well.

Not needed with high EMS destroy. ^_^

Shep is relaxing in Tuchanka and playing with Urz. :wizard:

Except you now have a highly arrogant woman who cares little for the lives of others raising an immensely powerful child who's susceptible to demonic corruption (the old god's were corrupted once, whos to say it won't happen again) who could potentially destroy the world.

Not exactly a smart move in the long run.

You don't kill yourself in any of the endings for ME3...

Shepard's legend lives on in every ending...

I like ultimate sacrifice endings. I loved it in DAO. Are you selfish or do you really have everyone's best interest in mind? Personally, I'm selfish.

I oft find myself in a quieter moments wondering if the decision would have been so easy if Morrigan looked like a Broodmother.....

I don't mind a sad 'the hero dies' ending if it's an option. I play video games to forget life sucks. I want a happy ending to at least be possible.
