People like to talk about a "double-standard" in mass media where violence versus nudity and sex are concerned, but they're talking about apples and oranges. Hacking and slashing monsters, robbers, and evil mages does not elicit the emotional (and physical) response that watching nudity and sex does. I mean, if we're evaluating this "double-standard" by what's morally "better" - violence or sex - then we're missing the point. Generally speaking, people are more comfortable with more graphic violence than graphic sex in their video games, and this is reflected by the ratings systems - not that they're perfect, but they exist because of this. Social pressures demand some sort of standard for content, and if the industry doesn't police itself, then you get political cretins establishing censorship laws, and that is worse.

How about this scenario: you romance a non-party NPC, all's going well, full frontal nudity, camera pans - lady touches her naked breast - camera pans down further, she opens her legs to reveal a darkspawn-esq set of genitalia which spews forth Grabber-like mosters and a battle esnues.

Not tasteful, not nice, but would make for a great bit of action and a great bit of the game IMO. Definitely something which, if done right, would add greatly to the game's unpredictability.

I'm thinking... no.

Two things are possible: you post these things in an effort to troll the forums by saying outlandish things while claiming intelligent discourse. Or you really mean them. Both make me want to close this thread. Please don't do this again.
