I find that comment of his funny because the Qunari on the rise is my fav score from him, lol.LPPrince wrote...
Inon Zur said that he was rushed for the DA2 soundtrack, so cut him some slack there.
What can we expect from DA3 soundtrack?

Funnily enough, I love that track as well.

I'd love a more Dramatic / Emotional soundtrack like ME3 did.
I agree! Some of the tracks made me actually cry a bit while others made me feel epic

For DA3, I'd like to see a mix of what we had in DA2 and DAO. I want something epic sounding for when it's focusing on the war, and something slower/more emotional for moments when it's not. Generally, just a healthy mix of themes to fit the varying set pieces that we'll probably be getting.

I'm not sure their style would really fit the universe anyway. But this is the best hub music ever...www.youtube.com/watch
So calm, serene, and beautiful.

Perhaps this is actually working as intended, I wouldn't know. But I'd prefer more melodic music, since melodies are what I like best.
That's funny you mention that because I feel the same way. It's one reason his soundtracks don't sound that great anymore.
Like I said, some of his older music was EXCELLENT. Here is a sample from Icewind Dale: www.youtube.com/watch
This is Inon Zur? The IWD soundtracks are downright awesome. Is he being directed to keep the melodies down to achieve a more ambient soundtrack or something? Cause clearly, this guy can make some great music that's right up my alley.

Also, Florence being at the end credits made me almost like the ending. The lyrics really summarised the emotions that rang through from the plot, so it was a good choice.

Alot of game soundtracks go on to legend & sales cause they hire compitent composers who comitently compose actual music for every area, important character & plot relevance, DA2 amended the abysmally absent soundtrack from origins but not by much
Try Akira Yamonsumth'n, he's freelance and has a large fanbase for his music and wants to work on western games, get on that bioware

I'd imagine Bioware didn't want that style in DA. Why? I have no idea. Icewind Dale has one of the best soundtracks ever in gaming. Inon was simply brilliant composing that. I'm not sure why Bioware would want him to go against that type of melody. It's amazing and I think it would fit the DA universe just fine...but what do I know...
I suppose the nordic setting had a lot to do with Icewind Dale 2's music.
Maybe it was Inon's choice and not Bioware. I highly recommend listening to Icewind Dale's soundtrack(both, Inon didn't do the first game). I think it would be something you enjoy. He's certainly capable and he did say he was rushed on the DA2 soundtrack. I hope he has plenty of time with DA3 - if Bioware brings him back. I think he did Baldur's Gate too? Not sure on that.

Music like this from KOTOR 2 fits the bill as well.

I would also like for older themes to return when you meet certain people in the game. For example, when you bump into the grey wardens near the end of DA2's second act, you can faintly hear the music from Ostagar. I immediatly felt like I was back in DA:O. So if I was to bump into Sten in DA3, I'd love to hear the camp theme from DA:O. You can also hear this theme when you first meet Sten in Lothering; it was the same for Wynne.
So I just want more leit motives. If you want to hear the old camp music, click on my sig for two of my favorite 'little' moments in the first DA.

It was one of the best pieces. I also liked the Hanged Man music and how it was different for day and night.
I HATED the Family theme especially when it was played in the mansion.
The music needs to be more EPIC and have more feeling and thats why my preference was for the Origins soundtrack
And after 3 years I still love I AM THE ONE from Origins.
