"I like to expect the worst, there's a small chance I'll be pleasantly surprised."
- Garrus Vakarian, of course

Earlier discussions about the Mass Effect movie.

I know that some people here strongly thinks that this much discussed Mass Effect Movie should never be made.
I know why they think this way and understand, even though I do not feel the same way.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again:
We already have the games, the movie will at least be fun to watch.
To me it's really irrelevant if it's good or not, if it's good, it shall give me the cinematic
satisfaction of the mass effect story I desire. And if it's bad, it's non-canon and doesn't matter.

But, that is not why I posted this topic.

Mass Effect movie, in 3D?

The reason for this topic is to ask two things from you, readers.
1. I personally have not experienced many 3D movies and I really do not know how far the technique has evolved.
I want to know, what you think. Is it good enough to be used for our beloved story?
2. Does it in your opinion, give you more reason to see it finished? I for one, think it would be a great experience and I want to know if there are others who agrees with me.

That's it.
Leave your answer below,
I hope that whatever we get in the end will be good for both of us.

Thank you for reading.

3D Is a bad fad. Jackass 3d was the only good thing to come out of it. Call me when they release interfacable holograms

Seconded. Think 3D is a gimmick and too often used to distract from crap movies. If it's a good movie then it's still a good movie in 2D (a good movie shouldn't even necessarily need to be in colour), and if it's a good movie that's been badly converted to 3D then it might very well be better in the original 2D format.

Yes its overrate. But when i saw jackass in 3D it was enhanced the experience. But ill also throw Prometheus a bone too, just for the giant space hologram scene.

I think there should be a Mass Effect film and believe that if they get it right, it could be as big a franchise as Star Wars quite easily. As for 3D, would a new Star Wars film be available in 3D? Of course it would, are 3D televisions being sold by the million, yes, is it a fad (although I haven't bought a 3D tv yet) I don't think, was the Avatar film a success in 3D, yes, is Science Fiction one of the best formats for 3D (space scenes/ship, planets etc) yes.

I've seen the Avatar in 3D now, and I really liked it. The scenery was made beautiful and the concept worked.

I am even more convinced now that a scifi movie like Mass Effect should be made in 3D.
If it is done properly.

Filmmakers are trying to hard to push 3D down everyones throats imo, the biggest problem a Mass Effect movie faces is its fans, i dont envy the actor picked to play shepard i can hear the groan the now as soon as he opens his mouth an speaks.

I will see the movie if its ever done an will try an watch it an rate it accordingly, but im of a mind Mass Effect would be better as a tv show
