You have no idea what "sister issues" is until you've been in the mirithreads. 

And I liked Ashley's sister thing.  Her sister lost her husband, Ashley was there for her.  It was one well-done scene that fit the narrative of the game.  It's not like she sat out the war over it...

You know what I mean.

Miranda's content:
Daddy -> sister -> sex -> daddy -> sister -> Sanctuary ...

Ashley's content
Cerberus-distrust -> Cerberus-distrust -> Cerberus-distrust -> sad sister -> sex.

Something like that.

Miranda in ME2:
Icequeen -> slowly thawing -> first private discussions -> light daddy issues -> saving her sis -> real private talk -> lockin' in romance -> argument with Jack -> sex ...

That's more like it. And I wanted something like that for Miranda, Ash, whomever you want in ME3 as well. But noooo ... neither Ash nor Miranda are blue

I stopped reading WW when they took Simone off it (I tried JMS, but he was TERRIBLE).  I would LOVE if Simone got her hands on another strong protagonist.
