I have the two achievements for completing the ritual with Morrigan and sacrificing myself. However even after allowing Allistar to kill himself and Loghain to kill himself, I do not get the perfectionist achievement. Every place I have read says to do those 4 things and you get the achievement. I do not for some reason. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Thanks for the help cause this one is really annoying me.

Recap: What I've done
1) Ritual with morrigan
2) Sacrificed myself
3) Sacrificed Alistar
4) Sacrificed Loghain
5) No achievement

I believe you have to complete the game with each race of the 6 beginnings

Can anyone verify this, or even if they have had the same problems?

Have not had the same problem -- I got the achievement after I finally brought myself to allow Alistair to die. :) You certainly don't have to do six playthroughs, since I haven't.

I still haven't done the dwarf origins, but I got the Perfectionist endings. Did the ritual, sacrificed myself, sacrificed Loghain, and sacrificed Alistair. I even did two of them with the same character, reloading at the archdemon fight because I couldn't bear for Alistair to die, so I chose to let my character make the blow instead. That was with the 360 version.

I've done the same things, well cept for I had a save before landsmeet and before sleeping with morrigan, I did all of the different endings on one character and got the two achievements. I literally have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Do you have to be on xbox live to get it, or can you not do it all on one character? Thanks so much.

realveemon is wrong.

And you can do it with one character.

I'm on PC. I'm not sure about doing it all on one character... I really don't see how it would make a difference though -- I did all three of the sacrifice options on my second character.

The only thing I can think of is: did you go all the way through the epilogue? I seem to remember thinking I wasn't wasn't going to get it, resigning myself to re-doing things, and THEN having it show up. Of course, I could be misremembering. I was suffering from sleep deprivation during that second playthrough. :)

Oh -- I just had a thought. I believe It isn't actually "Do these four things", it's really "Get these other four achievements" -- each of the four endings has its own achievement. If you're missing one or more of the other four, then that would be your problem area, I think.

Edited  because I'm temporally challenged.

I know the PC has 2 additional ending achievements, and I guess what I'll do is go all the way through the epilogue, if that doesn't work, well i'm stumped. Thanks for the help, any additional ideas would be greatly appreciated. I'm on the 360 btw.

Ah, you're right, my apologies. It appears that the 360 doesn't get Warden-Commander or Redeemer, in which case it really would be "do these four things".

Sorry I couldn't be more help, and good luck!

Okay so here is what I have done today. I have 2 saves right before the rooftops. The first save is my party consisting of Alistar, myself, lelaina, and wynne(not morrigan b/c I've already done the ritual thing) and right before you get on the rooftops I start the save and then allow Alistar to sacrifice himself. I go through the epilogue and get to the credits.

The second save is right before the rooftop and consists of myself, Loghain, Wynne, and Lelaina. I allow Loghain to sacrifice himself, go through the epilogue and to the credits.

My only guess is that maybe I have to have a save before the final battle starts and go to that, in order to reset the game's memory or something so that I can get it, I have no idea. If anyone, using what i've said, can help or provide a suggestion, please do so. I've also gottent the achievements for sacrificing myself and completing the ritual. I'm out of ideas.

there is also an ending if you persue an actual relationship with morrigan you get a ring from her telling you how to find her and it becomes one of your " what will you do now" options at the end of the game. (this is dependent on making alistair or logain sleep with her to keep her in your party till the very end)

I've got that, but didn't know that was a different ending, do I have to be wearing it or something. I've gotten to keep her in the party till the end, she was with me at the last battle and then disappears.

I did all of the endings with my first character (Human Noble) by doing some strategic saves/reloads. I got the achievement (xbox 360) without any issues or playing any other characters.

I got to the Landsmeet and made an extra save. One save I sided with Alistair, the other with Loghain.

I took the Logie save and went to Redcliff and made two saves. The first one I slept with Morrigan, went to the end and beat the game. The second one I didn't sleep with her and let Loghain sacrifice himself.

Then I went back to end of Landsmeet with Alistair save. I went to Redcliff. I spurned Morrigan. I went to the end and saved before Archdemon. I beat and Alistair sacrificed himself. I reloaded and beat AD and sacrificed myself.

Badabing! I got the achievement.

Then I played much more DA:O and got the rest of the achievements (including doing the Origins).

I don't understand, I've done all of these things as well, I guess I'll try sacrificing myself again and see what happens. Sigh, this is frustrating.

Well I am stumped, the only thing that I can think of that I haven't tried is making a save right before the epilogue piece on each of my playthroughs. I've noticed that the game checks game save data, right before it goes into the credits or w/e, so I think it is checking to see if you have the other endings. I'll make a new save in each one and see what happens. Any other suggestions would be welcome, thanks.

You most likely needed to go through the whole ending part of the story, even the reading part, if you didnt that could be your problem

Hello there,

I've got the same prob. I can confirm it on Xbox360, too. I've already got the achievements for completing the ritual with Morrigan and for sacrificing myself.  But I can't get the achievements for sacrificing Loghain and for completing all story endings.
I received almost all achievements with one character (dwarf, male, level 25, nobel) within one playthrough and different savings. I did it with 2 saving points that way:

1. Loading saving point 1 (after the Landsmeet, I killed Loghain myself)
1.1 Ritual with Morrigan
Result: I got the achievement:)

2 Reload saving point 1 (after the Landsmeet, I killed Loghain myself)
2.1 Sacrified myself
Result: I got the achievement:)

3. Loading saving point 2 (after the Landsmeet, we made Loghain a Grey Warden)
3.1. Sacrificed Loghain
Result: I got no achievements for sacrificing Loghain nor for completing all story endings

I guess the one for sacrificing Alistair is only for the PC, because I miss only 4 achievements: a secret one (that's for completing all story endings), one for sacraficing Loghain, one for romancing with Alistair and one for romancing with all possible characters. Every time I played, I used saving point 1 or 2 either. That means I started playing directly after the Landsmeet, before the beginning of the final battle.

So, I there anybody out there how could help? Or could you confirm that this is a bug? Did I do anything wrong?

Help would be very much appreciated! Thanks!

I decided to just check your profile achievements at the bottom of the page with all your uploaded characters and it shows that you haven't got the 'Dark Ritual' achievement yet.  Maybe you can try playing through the end of the game again and get that ending again, just to be sure.

So far I've done 3 endings (PS3): Dark Ritual, sacrificing myself, and sacrificing Loghain.  Some people say that is enough for the Perfectionist trophy, but others say you need to do the Alistair sacrifice one as well.  I hope I'm able to get Perfectionist, I'll be annoyed if the game is bugged :crying:

I encountered exactly this problem, having done those steps in the same order, playing on the Xbox 360. I did finally manage to get the achievement, though there is clearly a glitch.

To be specific:

1) I chose Alistair to be my companion at the Landsmeet.
    a) I performed the ritual with Morrigan and went on to kill the dragon.
    B) I declined Morrigan's offer and went on to kill the dragon, dying in the process.
    c) I declined Morrigan's offer, and let Alistair kill the dragon, and he died in the process.

...going back to a save made before the Landsmeet...

2) I chose Loghain to be my companion at the Landsmeet.
    a) I declined Morrigan's offer, and let Loghain kill the dragon, and he died in the process.
    B) I declined Morrigan's offer, but persuaded Loghain to do so instead, then headed for the showdown.

Now the intention was that he should kill the dragon and survive, thanks to having gone through Morrigan's ritual instead of me. But instead, when it came to the point where there should have been the 'Who is to make the death-blow?' question, it went straight to the cutscene with ME killing the dragon. The achievement popped up, and the post-coronation sequence was played, showing me being congratulated for killing the dragon and surviving - even though I hadn't gone through Morrigan's ritual - while Loghain could be seen standing in the background, also having survived.

As I say, it's obviously a glitch: what I don't know is what set of circumstances triggered it. But hopefully you'll find this method works for you too.

Well I hate to say it but I am still a bit confused as to why but I got the perfectionist trophy on my second playthrough with the PS3? Bug? I dunno?

I should have all achevements now, but Perfectionist doesn't unlock for me neither. I did every single ending few times, I even have this trophy on my Bioware account. It, however, didn't unlock in the game. I seriously don't know what to do now...

I'm tryin' Ryngard's method above.  If it works, that means I only have two left.  Letting Alistair & Loghain take the fall.

I'm just really happy that I didn't save over my before the landsmeet save.  Phew.
