Collectors are mentioned in the codex as part of the attack on Palaven.
Well, "Collector Swarms" at least (ambiguous as to whether or not it's referring to Seeker Swarms or "swarms" of Collectors), so that alone is a "door in the lore" for other Collectors still being around.

Two month ago, I used to post a little talk on steam social area, which about I believe there must be a collector DLC in the future. Later, two so called "smart" Indians response me with stupid words that it's impossible because there's no digital model in ME3 single play. I responsed: We will see!
Well, two months later now and we receive this exciting news... (with new patch, new week event coming)

This looks nice and all but bringing back the Collectors seems to make the events of ME2 all the more irrelevant now. But it was nice seeing Harby in the trailer at least. Will he be making some sort of reappearance in MP, maybe assuming control of some minions?
