I unfortunately understand the premise.  I'm getting to the point where I don't want new MP content because there is 20 items new content pretty much every two months and I don't have the time to sit down for like 12 hours on the weekend and hoard millions of credits just to get the "chance" of new content.  I'm not saying that I hate the new content but please slow down the production line so some of us can have time to catch up.

Edit: one of my friends flat out stopped playing MP after Earth DLC came out because he still had stuff to unlock from resurgence. He felt it was pointless to get excited for new content when there was the same amount of chance to win the lottery as to unlocking new content. :(

True all this new content will be very hard to unlock for people who don't have almost everything but to the people who do it starts getting boring... Playing to win credits even tho you can't get anything with them is kinda annoying

People who dont have all the items need to remember to start with Veteran packs than move to Spectre. Ive gotten gold items from Veteran Packs but its just so low when you do your like surprised. But the method is to get all your silver and blue characters/weapons unlocked and maxed out so they are least likely to appear when you buy that PSP. Weapons being maxed wont appear once they are lvl 10 and Character cards i believe are only aimed to appear if you need the appearances for them still or if you need XP for that class. And to even more max out your stuff max out the 4 consumables so they wont show up, you just gotta remember to be selfish a bit and keep them to yourself. I know being Selfish isnt the best idea in MP but sometimes its the only way you can go to get new stuff from the DLCs not to mention they usually seem to make it more likely the new stuff drops for you when it first comes out from what i seen.

1 Firebase White/Geth/Gold + 1/random map/random enemy/silver. 1 for the gold, 1 for the fun (and a little of gold).

Maxing out uncommons/commons has absolutely no effect on the rare drop rate in PSPs or SPs. With that in mind, it's actually more credit efficient to just buy PSPs, as you can get the uncommons you need from them. Of course, it makes sense to get some reasonable uncommons first, to make completing matches easier.

Shame the new classes show-cased are models already used - all that potential creativity, and it was thrown away for recycled material...

I like the announcement. However, shouldn't this have been done about 2 or 3 months ago? Most of the new dlc as nice as it is still involves the same band-aid approach of the past by adding new playable characters as opposed to more expansive content. Bug fixes announced and claimed in the patch already released do not seem to be totally fixed. For example, pyros are still impossible to grab and maybe harder so before since now I almost never see a fist icon even appear no matter where or how close to the cover they get.

With the way they keep adding more enemies, it is becoming simply too much for either their servers or the system can handle or it is becoming too much for the maps to contain. Spawns are appearing more often, more spread out, but also surrounding you or even on top of you and doing so even in bronze matches. In such situations, slow firing or accurate weapons are too impractical to use given the number, frequency, and speed of enemy appearances.

I am curious about DRILL rounds...

I don't think it is shredder rounds (most useless ammo type across the 3 games). since they would've just CALLED it shredder rounds (if they remember to use the term phasic, they would've used the ME2 term if drill rounds was functionally the same as the ME2 ammo type).

I'm kind of curious as to what those loadouts actually are...

Medi-gel transmitter though I only see being used by friends....I suspect it will allow for a player to long distance revive someone...only question is "will it use up the reviver's own supply or the revivee's own?"

Lol if the revivee has a medi gel he doesnt need a transmit! It will use your medi gel if this is how it works.

it actually does for Weapons, once you get your weapons to lvl 10(X) than it wont drop anymore. Meaning you increase your chance to get stuff you dont have. I believe same with Consumables those wont drop once you max them out and able to keep it that way.

While I understand where you're coming from, slowing down the production line has already happened and has hastened the rate of players dropping out of playing the game regularly.  I'm sure someone can come up with more exact numbers/dates but the gap between this DLC and the last is almost double the previous.  Its natural for a game to lose player interest over time but lack of DLC hastens that trend.  If you're a regular on this board, I'm sure you can see the huge increase in activity (even without counting all the stupidity regarding adding volus) due to the mention of this DLC.   Despite my misgivings about the single player story ending, I have to give Bioware credit for a surprisingly engrossing multiplayer that I thought would be tacked on crap as well as for the support they've given it.   Less frequent DLC might help you personally get the items you want for your manifest but it's not good for the game, the company, or the community.

lol, Pyros were never meant to be possible to grab that was a fix by the patch.

Sure, the uncommons wont drop anymore. But then you'll just get equipment in their place. Same with consumables. If they're maxed you just get equipment. Think about it. The SP and PSP slots are guaranteed rares. Even if you don't have your uncommons maxed it's still a guaranteed rare. So why would maxing something that was never going to drop in the first place make a difference? The only way to boost the odds of getting the new stuff is to max out all the old stuff (by that I mean rares). This way the game has to give you new stuff (or level 4 ammo, but the rate for that is fairly low when you still have other rare characters and weapons to unlock).

Edit: On consumables, while they get replaced with equipment if you've maxed them and the game is forced to give them to you, the game will always give you a consumable if possible. This means that it is possible to force the game to give you a specific consumable if it's the only one you haven't maxed. This means if you only need one consumable and have the others maxed recruit packs are the best value for money, at 13.2 consumables for 33,000 credits. This is compared to 5 for 33,000 credits with JEPs.

I hope all of the new classes are Rare. Uncommons are harder to get, believe it or not, because several stupid consumables are considered Uncommon, thus they will appear in veteran packs instead of what you really want to unlock!

Its ok, if everybody truly understood the concepts involving probability and odds, gambling would be extinct tomorrow cause nobody would play. :P

I have almost all my stuff maxed and I've done nothing but buy PSP's. The rest is just a waste unless you still have a few uncommons to unlock and/or need equipment. Sucks after a point it just REFUSES to give you UR's....wish you could have the option of spending around 150,000 credits to get a garunteed upgraded to a random UR....

And yet pyros always come toward cover and crowd around like they are meant to be grabbed.  And in any case, why would this also cause other units near pyros to also be ungrabable?

I think i'm more heavily satisfied with the fact that this dlc comes out the day before my birthday
so i download it, play it in the day
then later that day, i drive out to orlando to play a show with 12 stones
then celebrate my birthday once it hits midnight.

BIOWARE....you never cease to amaze me!

I wonder what stratagems the collectors will use. Will it be the same as Reapers (Overwhelming force), or will it be tactical like Cerberus? I'm hoping for a mixture of the two and if Praetorians are as hard as they were in ME2 then players who just started playing in ME3 are in for a very rude awakening! >:D
