I am enjoying the game quite a bit, I think it is a masterpiece..but I think those broken textures clearly hold it back from being a solid 10 for me. Especially if it's just an issue in the texture pack.. and I hardly think "Have you seen the wagon" is comical...because it's a good example of the messed up textures. There are many, that's just one of them.

What are you comparing it to? None of the recently or older RPGs look any better then this game. You cant compare it to Crysis games, since thats FPS and not RPG.
Only thing i would like to have better graphics on are the wilderness, that could been better, but its not crap.

Anyways, the game play (minus the dex/dagger bug), story, and voice acting all seem amazing. I am still loving the game. And once you get a little into the game, the graphics seem much nicer then they do at first.

that´s the sad point.. maybe Bioware shouldn´t have even tried to make good graphics and gone with an old engine, so all these graphic lovers would have been abondoned from begin on, instead of the constant whining now.
You know, I bet they were thinking about doing that, but then they remembered that they wanted to make lots of money.

I'll keep posting screens as I come across objects that don't load correctly for the developers. Here's another, the posts holding up a tent in denerim. Agian, like the wagon, I can see the normal map loading because of the glossy hi-lights but the texture isn't.
Very good one, perfect example! If you can make a list of compile these shots with their locations we can email them to andrewto pass to the devs.

The other pictures in the gallery show it in a little more context, so you can compare the contrasting image quality. And yes, it's on the PC, and yes my system handles the game fine and the rest of the graphics are great. And no, I don't need to upgrade etc etc (and etc some more).

1) In the apprentice quarters, look at the ironwork in the screenshots. It's especially easy to notice with bloom turned off.
2) For the ruins, look at that statue in the cutscene... that's not depth of field - and frame buffer effects are turned off anyway. In the gallery, I put in one image to show things with the statue and bloom on, just for comparison (not that it matters)
3) All the doors are low resolution textures (not the worst, but not great). I could get screen shots, but I'm pretty sure it's just any door texture you encounter.

I play from behind my charater all the time.. the graphics for this game look great. There just as good as ME. So I don't know how you can the graphics here are... "bad"
Dude, I seriously wish you'd pass around whatever you're smoking.
This game is several YEARS behind Mass Effect. The textures are the lowest res I've seen in a game in a very long time. Shadows are painted on the ground, and are in no way actually there. Standing in shadows, you look just as bright as you do standing in the light.
You can tell the models have a high poly-count, and are very detailed structurally...just everything else about them is outdated.
People's faces are about the best looking things in game. I think they did a wonderful job there...just unfortunate that the REST of the game is nowhere close.
This game was originally anounced in...what, 2004? I think they could've spent another 2 years updating the graphics on this. In 2004, these were great graphics. Now, not so much.
Either that, or for some reason my top-notch computer just isn't loading this game properly.

It's not intolerable. Since that is more my opinion I find my own usage for it. I benefit from game play because my computer can not handle games on the highest settings in most cases. Games like Dragon Age: Origins, or... say Risen. Both of these games are easily playable on high settings and I still enjoy the game.
I know I can play other games on Medium settings, and others high all quite enjoyable. Again most of this being opinion, it shouldn't matter much to anyone.
Dragon Age: Origins does well, and although I won't lie that beefing up the texture resolution wouldn't be bad, it certainly should not demean any value the game has I'm sure.

If some people don't see it or don't care to see it: fine by me. As I said earlier, the graphics are good enough for me for the most part. Not as good as some modern games, but I don't honestly care that much.

Maybe I should make a new thread tilted "poor texture loading" so we won't get comments like this anymore...The game rocks, we're just trying to help out
That'd probably be a good idea. I don't know if posting it in the tech support forum might also help, since otherwise I think it's just going to attract the same kind of redundant posts.
I'm not against people having contrary opinions, but it's not helping the issue at hand here.

Strange. My graphics looks terrific. Better than most of the RPG's I have anyway.
Have you not seen the wagon?
There's nothing wrong with the wagon on the xbox 360 -version.

Sorry, but the OP has no credibility. He thinks Crysis -- which bores me to tears -- is a fine game because it's got good graphics? And he has the nerve to complain about Dragon Age's beautiful graphics -- a game that is infinitely more intelligent and strategic than any pathetic FPS?
This is the kind of guy who will insist that a Bugs Bunny cartoon is better than a Rembrandt painting because it moves and has more color.
Stop bothering the adults and go back to your button-masher.
No need to be so harsh, yeah the original post was a bit obnoxious..but throughout the rest of the thread is a better discussion and confirmed there are texture issues in this game for PC.
Look at this wagon:

How can you claim there isn't an issue there?
Okay. This definitely is a PC -texture problem. The wagon looks fine on the XBOX -version.
