I would just go as far to say that the graphics are not as impressive as what came before (Mass Effect), but I understand that isn't of greater importance to Dragon Age. A simple matter of stylistic approach that Dragon Age encompasses over your average FPS/Hybrid that goes for photo-realistic quality.

@OP Mersonix
I thought I might chip in some info, I run a 3.8Gig processor, and 8GB ram rig with a GTX 275, I tried several hiRez mods I found on Dragon Age Nexus that sharpened things up quite nicely but the trade off was that in some cases character eyebrows and tattos (some not all) appeared to go all pixelly, I dont know what thats all aobut, but at the end of the day it will make the game look sharper. I'm not using any at the mo, and will be waiting a while to play again, waiting for a few updates etc and also to regain some semblance of a social life
but yeah mate have a crack at the texture packs on http://www.dragonagenexus.com/ see if that makes things better for you.

I'm playing on low graphics, and I don't really mind. The mage robes look really nice on medium or higher.
Too bad my graphics card is really old.

Half the textures are good. These are the foreground textures, such as armor and people. Most of the background stuff is very poor. If you do not mind, then that is fine. If you do mind, that is also fine. I just wanted to set the record straight as to console vs PC and theorize why the devs would do this and how they could make it better (aka Patch before releasing any more DLCs). Ya, I heard the snort too. ; )
I am not touching the blend of realism and stylistic in the textures though. I doubt there is any logic behind it though. There is too much variation within one group (e.g. gloves) for it to have been deliberate.
My only hope is that this is not the engine that they are going to use for The Old Republic. If it is then I hope they hire me soon, since I will have a lot of work to do before TOR is ready. : ) )
P.S. My HiRes is done.. The temporary links are coming soon, and our private file server should be ready tomorrow.
