You totally revamp the useless Singularity power into something viable like it was in ME2...and you only do it for MP?

Why?!

Can single player balance never ever be touched? Single player is seriously horrific in the balance department...

What's wrong with singularity? I use it fine in ME3.

Seriously, what am I missing?

Nothing, the OP is just mad because that's what people do in BSN.

It's the weakest of the class-exclusive powers, and that was fine until they decided to make the multiplayer version of the power much, much stronger, and then leave the single player version of the power untouched. Soooo... they're sort of spitting in the faces of the single player fanbase. That's where the problem is.

Sort of. Personally I've always liked ME3's Singularity, but mainly because its essentially an advanced variant of Pull - doing everything that Pull does, but better, and more flexible.

Of course all that point of view does is shift the issue to Pull itself.

I think the basic issue is that since ME2, Bioware failed to draw enough of distinction between Singularity and Pull. There's always been too much overlap between the two, moreso than any other pair of powers on a single class.

As you say, the biggest annoyance isn't so much Singularity's current state in SP - its a good power, quite usable - its the fact that Bioware recognise its too similar to Pull, bothered to make the effort to fix it, and now apparently just can't be bothered to port the changes over to SP.

I think the feeling is almost universal that we'd all like to see more distinction between Pull and Singularity - and frankly, Singularity, as a signature power, needs to be a little more than just 'good', it needs to be a reason to pick the class.

Maybe SP will get a patch when Omega comes out.

I'd be thrilled to have this, though I'm not getting my hopes up as if they wanted to change it for single player, they likely would have.

SP doesn't need the new Singularity so I don't get the big deal. Was Insanity not easy enough as it is? Doesn't Shepard already have a completely bloated arsenal of powers additional to the fact that Liara and Co will always be with him/her?

I concur.  When i finally got to where I thought I would be competitive on SP Insanity I found that it was easily accomplished.

Not that I complain about the ME trilogy in any way shape or form and credit to all involved in the creation of the ME universe, but perhaps the plethora of powers available to shepard did take some of the tactical character build desicion making away... just my opinion of course...
