Youtuber does a good take down of the Extended Cut

And a video explains why by lining it up beside a basic conclusion checklist and sees if it stacks up, the result is something I found immensely cathartic.

I really wish they'd put in the extended Anderson dialogue instead.
I didn't need to know all the stuff about the reapers and their origin. I didn't care. I just wanted them dead.

The ending is going to remain controversial. That is a given. They aren't going to change it. That also is a given. The EC does fix a few things like why Joker and company left. How your squad got from next to you onto the Normandy, although granted it seemed like Harby was enjoying an order of fish 'n chips and an ale from a local pub while your were handling that, and other than that and a couple of other cutscenes, really they could have left the rest of it out, IMO.

Unfortunatly, the reason it wasn't put in was because its wrong, he does have a child in the narrative, so they would have to redo the dialouge, so it might be unlikely:(

Ahhhhhhh, some things about BSN will never change. Lucas Shark will always post negative posts/topics. It's nice to have a few things constant.
well if there is something positive to say about me3 we will let you know

Control? That's basically indoctrinashun!
Synthesis? That's what Reaperz are!
Destroy? ..... That's what the Reaperz do!!!

Oh look, another reference to the arbitrary Writer's Digest How to Write 101 about how every story have to follow the same structure every single time and never do anything different.
I do love stories that follow those conventions.
But I also love stories that don't follow those conventions.
I happen to enjoy Extended Cut DLC despite it's many flaws.
Does this make me an idiot?
According to that condecending video it does.
I don't mind him discussing the reasons why he doesn't like the ending, but to suggest that every person who doesn't agree with him is stupid (he never outright says this, but it is heavily suggested in his tone of voice), is something I find very hard to digest.

No, this is much worse than his usual post. Usually he makes a point himself instead of outsourcing it to some YouTube clown.

People have kind of been doing it for oh... 40,000 years or so... we've worked out some basics.

IT is still a valid theory for the ending. BioWare has not officially denied it. It was not denied in the EC. I has not been denied anywhere. Even our local community people have said it is still possible. This is why there are still IT threads going. Look at the details in the EC. It could still be there. Look at the slide shows. It is quite fascinating.

bioware promotes head canon, does NOT promote any canon.. I got corrected a while back about only inferring that Shep was alive as being an official canon.. CP quickly altered the header of the post to 'my opinion' as if that were what I were posting about at all. It didn't matter,as Sheps survival depends 'strickly' on head canon, insomuch as the 'breath scene' were concerned. The IT is the same fiction, engrossed with head canon, not official, or supported as such..

Funny how his videos send people into a frothing rage. I wonder if folks simply saw the name and came to a conclusion without even listening?
The fact that there were posts minutes after the thread was posted shows exactly how much of the viudeo they watched: minutes if any.

Nah, EC only make it worse. Except for retcon of relays destruction, and unplausible conjecture of rebuilding them in Destroy(yeah sure, our cycle are a lot more advanced than protheans).sH0tgUn jUliA wrote...

And scene of Normandy "crash" is unneeded with the EC.
As for already retarted and unneeded mission priority:earth, EC only makes everything even more absurd, and Harbringer even more dumb, than in original endings.

The fact that you're posting a video that's existed since September 16th, from one of the more well-known and nit-picky critics of Mass Effect, probably reveals more.

Kick ass, go home and live with the consequences. It's exactly what I expected from the game.

I still don't get why people are so butthurt over destroy ending. It kills the Reapers, Shepard is heavily implied to survive and you loose a lot of good men ( Geth, whatever).

it's just not canon and won't be unless Sheps shown to be alive in that rubble. Shep was misinformed the whole story about the reapers intent, but not their unsavory methods. It's my only beef with the destroy option, that its over rated as 'we win'. Shep lives, etc..
