I personally hate how nitpicky he is (it just does not appeal to me), and this is despite the fact I hate mass effect 3, I just don't think all the criticism is fair

Most of the "fans" on this site are happy as long as you spoon feed them cheesy romance scenes, fan service, and other useless garbage with little or no regard for the actual story. They have no interest in critical thought directed at Mass Effect or plot consistency, so they tend to react poorly to Smudboy.

Some of criticisms you're bound to see when someone brings up an analysis of his on the BSN:
-"He's annoying!"
-"He's too smug!"
-"It's science fiction, who cares about story coherence?!"
-"Element B makes sense as long as you suppose A.B, and C even though A,B, and C aren't supported by the story."
-"I just plain don't like him!"
-"He's a nerd, games are for fun, not story!"
-"He's too nitpicky, no one cares!"

Of course, ad hominem attacks and supposition is useless. Regardless of your opinion of the guy he's presenting objective criticism of the game, the conclusion that the story is bad is incontrovertible.

Then again, when this:
"Roses are read
Violets are blue
Smugboy sucks
And so does Mr/miss Shark"

is a typical response, you know there's no chance at rational discourse.

um, clearly stated arguements, uses third party texts to back up his points (in this case a website, which he references), systematically and chronologically analyses the text.

I can't see what is irrational about a smudboy video other than his inflated ego

I'm here because as much as I hate what they did to the series, I still like it in my own way. Mass Effect 1 is one of my favourite games of all time.

In fact, I'd go so far as to say I like this game far more than you do. I actually spent the effort of understanding its story, listening to different opinions, crtically assessing its many flaws and few triumphs and formed my own opinion on the matter. You've done nothing but dogmatically defend it by personally insulting those who criticize it but done nothing to offer a real defence of the story.

Then you go on to call me a "pretentious dbag"(reported by the way) but you've still yet to find even one thing about the video which is irrational (as you originally claimed).
