Please don't tell me there is no way to justify a couple of upgrades to a Volus lifesuit in Mass Effect lore.

It's going to take a hell of a lot more than 'a few upgrades' to justify them being not combatants, but N7-level special forces.

You are basically saying that a combat suit will achieve the same results if you take a highly fit and extremely experienced soldier, and an obese asthmatic child who will die without oxygen. One of these two has never beeen known to pass SF seletion tests.

The Volus have no more and no better technology than everyone else.  EVERY class is in the best battlesuit systems their natiosn can afford. The N7 classes in particular are abusing the hell out of the most dangerous and untested prototype supertech they could grift from Reaper, Geth and Cerberus, and have been physiologically augmented as far as it was possible to survive. Even if you did the same thing to the Volus, it'd still be a volus. And a fat asthmatic with a supersoldier suit is just not on the level of a real soldier in a supersoldier suit.

Anyone remember the gas bags on Eden Prime in ME1? I want those guys.

Pyjacks would be uber, too. Think about it! You could 'cute' the enemies to death and overpopulate them.

You don't understand. You don't want to understand. The problem isn't the suit. It is the race. Volus don't want to fight (they don't want, they don't want, they don't want, okay ?), AND they can't fight because their own body is to weak (they can't, they can't, they can't, okay ?).

And what you say is wrong. You can't enhance everything. Volus are too weak to be enhanced enough to fight reapers and others. And there is NO interest to enhance Volus when you can enhance all others race.

These ARE the rules of Mass Effect. You want, you don't want, not Bioware's problem.

Anyways, this is a troll, they will not be implemented.

90% of people asking for Volus are trolls too with their "i want a biotic god lol" (remember this volus in ME2 does nothing more than a snail).

You seem to be serious, you're almost alone, and you're STUPID.

So I assume you are the expert in everything ME? So if your backed into a corner your just going to just give up?

didn't the lore at one point say that all Protheans were dead?

I really wish peeps would stop saying 'we'. I would rather not have myself included in the 'we' that want nerfs. Or the 'we' that can't get their head around the fun of a volus biotic god from me2.

In fact, the only 'we' that I can see in BSN are those dedicated to ruining my fun.

Volus may potentially be cheap since they automatically get the advantage in terms of cover. That is, unless we're talking about Volus with heavy cybernetic and exo-suit augmentation.

It did, but then there's Javik. The lore is, "all other Protheans are assumed dead." If you remember, Javik did say that communication was cut off. He might be the sole-surviving Prothean, he might not. I won't assume either way until Mass Effect 3 is done.

...then I'll assume.

It's you that don't seem to understand completely reasonable and valid points.

The problem is not the suit? It's because the race are too weak? Please tell me how physically stong a Geth AI is without being in a platform? Please tell me how strong biotics are without Amps or Eezo exposure?

No interest to enhance the volus? They don't want to fight? What about the Volus themselves? Will they just sit back and let themselves be eradicated whilst everyone else is defending their own planets?

Biowares rules allow upgrades to happen, they allow species to fight back against all odds, they allow for otherwise weak individuals to grow into formiddable opponents. These are the rules of the narrative, the rules of the game universe. Triumph through adversity.

Your entire arguement is based off the fact that suits cannot be upgraded to be much more powerful than the being inside it whereas in the game itself it has been shown multiple times this is not the case.

The lore say people suppose they all are dead. After that, we discover Javik. That's all.

So I assume you are the expert in everything ME?

So i assume you can't accept that someone knows more thing than you ? Or maybe just frustrated because you can't prove Volus in mp are lore-friendly ?

People complaining about Volus, stop whining and just deal with it. It's not like they're even officially confirmed or anything yet.

And if they are what's the big fuss? Yes they get other people to fight for them MOST of the time, but the entire galaxy is burning down around them and desperate times call for desperate measures. They're not going to just sit idly by and do the Turians accounting while the reapers eradicate their home world.

Guy, it's not your job to invent some lore. Let it to Bioware please.

" Please tell me how physically stong a Geth AI is without being in a platform?"

And what's the problem ? Geth still are billions.

"Please tell me how strong biotics are without Amps or Eezo exposure?"

And... what's the problem ? Biotics aren't so strong without amps yes, BUT their body is strong enough to be able to fight reapers. And biotic amp cost less than a "Volus battlesuit of the superdeath".

"Biowares rules allow upgrades to happen, they allow species to fight back against all odds, they allow for otherwise weak individuals to grow into formiddable opponents. These are the rules of the narrative, the rules of the game universe. Triumph through adversity."

Yes, and intelligence allows logic to say "enhancing a krogan is better than enhancing a snail".

that's the thing tho throughtout 2 games, books and comics it's heavily implied that they were all dead n gone
so bioware fixed that by adding more lore and poof javik was born.

all they would have to do for the volus is just add on more lore and honestly we prolly should just wait an c what happens if it happens at all

I have made my arguements, your retorts have come down to basically "but underneath the Volus are too weak" and "Bioware only can make the lore" when I have referenced their lore in all my arguements.

At this point with your inability to understand reason, ignore previous lore that I have posted, ignore the structure of the game narrative. I can only assume you are trolling or deluded.

If they want to add Volus they very easily can using their own established lore.

A Volus sure as Hell ain't gonna suicidally join the N7 Operative Program. If I were a Volus information dealer, for example, I'd give out my information and even a great deal of my wealth to allied forces to aid the war effort, not throw my life away in the most dangerous missions in the Galaxy. It'd be a waste of my talents.

Why are so many people against fun ;) ?

Really, MP has always had a smaller layer of lore than SP. I am totally fine with that.

bring on the volus.

What good is wealth if nobody is left alive to use it?

Anyway, bed time :) Have fun without me kids.

Though I don't necessarily agree with all of the op's opinions, I have to agree with one. I don't want this game to be a joke, and in all seriousness, volus would turn it into a joke. Kind of ruins it.

Before they release Volus in MP they'll probably add a couple of badass ones in a singleplayer DLC to make it seem more reasonable.

Not even, it's a non-storyline most likely non-canon extra feature.

You think going into a firefight and getting myself ****ing blown up like a diver with the Bends times a million is a better idea that using my financial talents to help benefit everyone, or at least as many people as I can afford?
