Self sealing suits and barriers. Where is the problem?
There is no self-sealing suit that can handle normal operating pressures of 875psig.
Use the force itself to seal it.. just a metal plate put on the inside would hold. Pretty certain that with their future tecknology they can figure it out, especially if they have a gel that can repair any injury.
First, I understand that we are killing puppies here.
Now then, this is a great concept, for suits operating at or near the surrounding pressure, or at least within an order of magnitude. We're not talking about that. We're talking *explosive* decompression in every sense of the word. Damn near instanly all their bones would be crushed and liquified and extruded out of the tiny little hole, along with all the other stuff inside their pressure suit. If the in-universe technology exists to pop-up a shield or a plate or some kind of self-sealing jobby, then you'd also be impervious from the other direction. Meaning projectiles fired out of a gun, or shrapnel from grenades, etc. So since that clearly isn't the case, I'd say it doesn't currently exist.
If Bioware wants to make it (and all these other debates go away by just "making it so", then by all means. That's fine with me, I'll enjoy MP either way. But it's a bit of a mental cop-out if you ask me. They've proven to be better than that in my opinion.
