Other people want to buy hamburgers, you dislike hamburgers.
So would you stand in front of the store and tell them they cannot buy hamburgers, merely because you disapprove of it?

And would you honestly expect those people to not buy the hamburger even though they are starving? 

If the store sayed during 3 years "we don't send hamburgers" yes, i would stand in front of it, like a lot of people.

Yeah, he fell for a trap there. Doesn't take away from the fact, that the Volus have been established through the course of 3 games + expanded universe as a non fighting race (non fighting as in the way the mulitplayer is set up)

Isnt there a difference between a Volus fighting to defend their colony in desparation, and a Volus being sent on a special Ops team to complete a task that has nothing to do |Directly| with their homeworld?

If there is one Human Spectere among the entire Human Military, wouldnt you think there might be a few hundred atypical Volus among their entire species? Well to be fair in the constraints of multiplayer, when you start a level 1 character they can just about hold a gun and have access to one point of one power. I know it's game mechanics but meh. That's the only arguement i haven't actually made but it's a bit of a crappy one and can't be bothered reposting my old stuff.

Beelzebubs: Your points on pages 12-14 are rational and reasonable. But I think the problem with a lot of the "Mech Suit" solutions are simply that a: they don't appear to be implemented as such based on the pictures; and b: any tech that would let them do this would be SO MUCH better served being used on say, the turians for their own (the Volus') defense.

Again, if Bioware wants to make it otherwise, that's their perogative. Just like it's mine to not like it.

Well at this point both sides have made valid points, irrelevant points and some downright stupid ones. It's up to Bioware to clarify.

I'm obviously biased as I believe my points to be correct, and nobody has really been able to do a convincing job of disproving anything I've said but the same can be side foe both sides.

Protheans would be an ass-pull.  Volus would be a retcon.  Retcons are way the hell worse than asspulls.
