A post on the Impulse forums has gotten everything working for me so far:

Apparently Impulse fails at registering a service and therefore your DLC won't work right out of the box (well, won't download or show up at all).

So download the file services.bat, run it in administrator mode in the command line like it suggests
(no, right clicking and running as admin doesn't work - at least for me it didn't)

Then - and this is very important - go to control panel, administrator tools, services, and start the dragon age updater service. Set it to auto if you really can't get it working.

Launch the game, and the DLC should start going if you've registered the DLC codes - even if it failed/succeeded like a lot of people posted

Good info. Too bad you're still boned if you registered the game through the bioware site today though. EA still won't see it and still says the code is already in use when you try to play the game.

Ugh, this is awful. So frustrated...thanks for posting the info, too late for me as well. Registered via the website, and game doesn't recognize that as registered too. Last time I'll be using Impulse.

Anyone see the link to unregister your CD key? I'm too nervous to click it to try and remedy this situation. Contacted Bioware support around 5pm EST and no response.

For anyone who is scared to try it, unregistering the game won't eat the key, you can re-register it later. I know because in my frustration i accidentally hit the unregister button and though i was screwed, but it registered again just fine.

I've had no issue with the re-register thing, either. I did it out of frustration as well and I'm playing the game now. Wish my laptop could handle it at above low settings though...

Seems to be working, though I'm getting an error saying the game needs to be version 1.0, even though the game is 1.0......Ugh.

Man, I registered the game through the website now when I try to activate online, the activation program saids the key is in use, so I unregistered it from the website and it STILL saids the key is in use. What the hell is going on? Yes, I ordered the DDE through Impulse.
