Thanks for the patch Bioware, but really... did you REALLY look at ALL the complaints about the Geth and their ridiculous stunlock and think "You know what the Geth really need, MORE STUNLOCK with an EVEN LONGER ANIMATION"?

Because that's what it seems like. I just played ONE game against Geth (first since the patch) and have no interest in playing them again while the Combat Drone retains this absurd ability. The stagger is ridiculous and the animation lasts WAY too long.

I'm sure 99.9% of people feel the same way. Rule #1 of game development is "Don't take control away from the player".

Play Kroguard. Melee. Problem solved. Come on now, Sirian.

Of course. I can just play Kroguard in every unknown/unknown match just in case I get Geth. :wizard:

I'm not playing vs Geth until they tone the stunlocking down. If they take the ability away from Hunters and just leave stunlocking to Primes/Rocket Troopers then i'll start playing them again.

Drone attack range seems to be ridiculous.

My friends and I started to avoid Geth 2 weeks ago. Now, we will probably just alternate between Cerberus/Reapers(/Collectorsomgyay)

I played Geth on Gold (Unknown/Unknown) twice today and had less problems with stunlocking than before. I will say I was a bit more aggressive with the Primes though, since headshot damage is back. I would recommend simply keeping your distance at all times. I actually enjoyed these two games today - the first games against Geth I've enjoyed in months.

I also only played one of them with one friend, and was not in game chat for the rest, so there wasn't communication to establish an enemy spawn. Just constant map awareness.

I should clarify that I'm not suggesting it's fixed - in fact, when I play some more tomorrow I will probably rage like cray against Geth. That's right. Cray. So crazy I forgot the z.

I don't think anyone can call themselves elite and refuse to play one faction. I don't claim to be elite and they don't bother me a whit. Geth lack sych kills. Played three gold geth from U/U random to extraction today. I used paladin, KV, and bat sol.

If you guys/gals can solo gold/plat as you claim then playing with three others on any level vs. geth should be a snap. Or does that require stacking the deck to accomplish?

I cannot even recall the last geth game that ended in failure for me. Mostly reapers. If I am carrying (I don't always as I am not boss enough with all characters nor am I the best as I have met several better than I) and get wiped/synched it is usually toast because most randoms won't use gear to save the game.

Ravagers are almost equal to geth primes as far as downing you maybe worse because the swarmers can lower shields quickly on the higher levels. IMO Reapers>geth>cerberus.

I might not be as good as some of you, but I still will play U/U and win nearly every time the geth come up. I love the variability because each side requires different strategy to prevail. Sure straight up DPS can work but finesse gets better results.

BW we need the game harder than gold. Ok makes platinum. Now: BW make geth easier. Where's the challenge in that?

A) I've never claimed to be able to solo Gold/Plat. I have never soloed either and have never even bothered to try. I find soloing very tedious.

B) I don't call myself elite.

C) I don't actually have a problem beating the Geth, it is just not at all fun to play them. This is an important distinction.

On another facet to counter your lack of sync-kill argument, Reapers are safe when you go down. No Reaper enemies will execute a downed player. So, wait a few seconds for the Banshee to walk away, then gel it if no teammates are close enough.

On that note, Cerberus has the only unit that will do both. The Atlas. Phantoms will sync-kill the crap out of any players that are taken by surprise, while turrets will down anyone nearly instantaeously on higher difficulties. The Geth take the cake for the fastest execution, but Cerberus isn't slacking on it.

I honestly think that each faction's difficulty ultimately lines up with how you prepare and how you work, or don't work, with your team.

But I'm trying to outscore Jay with weapon classes. An exercise in futility I know... but still.

I have no idea how bad it is because I haven't been able to play since the patch, (and I don't think I will for awhile) but this makes me somewhat less pissed off about that.

I can only imagine how ridiculous the Geth are now.

The problem isn't that they're hard. It's that they're broken, cheap and frustrating. Playing against them is a waste of time since you're getting no fun at all.

Now that bosses have headshots, there is no hope left. Even setting it to Reapers will not stop him.

Geth were a stunlock nightmare before. Now that primes can summon two turrets, stagger more reliably, and their drone staggers, they've become simply stupid. Geth Prime is a worse enemy to fight than a freaking Banshee.

My apologies genteel krogan. (Nice avatar BTW) I have seen others that have posted no more geth that have.

I have fun regardless because each is a different challenge and a different obstacle to be knocked off. If the collectors are even harder, I will still relish the challenge and will stay on U/U unless weekend ops call for it or very rarely at request of someone in lobby.

I don't mind enemies being difficult to defeat. Of course not. My problem is with the artificial difficulty the Geth use. They're just cheap and frustrating and no fun to play against. A challenge is one thing, but broken, cheap enemies who just take all control away from the player is another thing entirely.
