Because that's what it seems like. I just played ONE game against Geth (first since the patch) and have no interest in playing them again while the Combat Drone retains this absurd ability. The stagger is ridiculous and the animation lasts WAY too long.
I'm sure 99.9% of people feel the same way. Rule #1 of game development is "Don't take control away from the player".

That being said, I play against Geth several times tonight with Batarians and I didn't get stunlocked once. In fact, I didn't even get staggered once either.
But I'd like to see enemies adjusted to be difficult for other reasons than they cheat.

I cannot even recall the last geth game that ended in failure for me. Mostly reapers. Ravagers are almost equal to geth primes as far as downing you maybe worse because the swarmers can lower shields quickly on the higher levels. IMO Reapers>geth>cerberus.
I might not be as good as some of you, but I still will play U/U and win nearly every time the geth come up. I love the variability because each side requires different strategy to prevail. Sure straight up DPS can work but finesse gets better results.
BW we need the game harder than gold. Ok makes platinum. Now: BW make geth easier. Where's the challenge in that?

OT I haven't played against new Geth with a "normal" or previously stagger vulnerable class yet. It sounds pretty daunting, especially the part with the combat drone. I really don't care too much about the "difficulty" of the faction, but projectile triple stunlock needs to gtfo. Ravagers and phantoms don't do this and people don't complain nearly as much. The only other thing which really bothers me is the turrets, I really couldn't care less about pyros, rocket trooper double tap or hunter stagger evasion in and of themselves, it's just the stunlock that bothers me. Even if it's not full stunlock, it still prevents you from reloading, taking cover or running away for a split second, which is all that is required.

This. Kroguard, Claymore - Goddess / Geth / Gold. Easy mode...
Except it went something like: shoot Geth, drone staggers me, something then shoots me and now down to health / health gate and not reloaded yet, charge something to prevent being downed and then hope I get time to reload before being staggered again.
Then I played Rio vs Geth (was a U/U/G PUG) where everyone was camping the middle. Staggered Justicars suck. We wiped on wave 8.

All of my plat PUGs have been a wipeout due to the hunters. It is not even fair and makes the games so tedious.
