:wub: The funny thing is the guy basically just said "no you're wrong about that and this is not true" without actually saying on which account/why it wasn't true.

Hunters use a GPS, their refire time is the same as when we use a GPS. The stagger stops you from doing anything except just walking (unless you were already sprinting in which case it doesn't stop you).

So it will:

Cancel your reload
Cancel you trying to get into cover
Not let you shoot
Not let you dodge (if your character has a dodge)
Not let you start sprinting

Seems kinda absurd to me. I could deal with that though. The Combat Drone's ridiculous stagger power is just the final straw. Too much stunlock. No more Geth for me thanks.

Yup, same here.

Funny thing that happened to me yesterday while I was using my QFE with an Acolyte:

1) Shoot lone Hunter with Acolyte
2) Hit him with Cryo Blast
3) Hunter obviously frozen
4) Hunter shoots and stuns me so I can't use Incinerate to kill him
5) I'm stunned from something else
6) I'm dead
7) I use a medigel
8) I'm stunned from the Hunter who isn't frozen anymore
9) Something kills me before I can even move

That was on Silver, by the way. Had similar experiences on Gold, only that you can repeat steps 6-9 for two or three times.

OT I haven't played against new Geth with a "normal" or previously stagger vulnerable class yet. It sounds pretty daunting, especially the part with the combat drone. I really don't care too much about the "difficulty" of the faction, but projectile triple stunlock needs to gtfo. Ravagers and phantoms don't do this and people don't complain nearly as much. The only other thing which really bothers me is the turrets, I really couldn't care less about pyros, rocket trooper double tap or hunter stagger evasion in and of themselves, it's just the stunlock that bothers me. Even if it's not full stunlock, it still prevents you from reloading, taking cover or running away for a split second, which is all that is required.


Lol our Rio match yesterday came to my mind too when I wrote that ^_^

Do you now why the Retaliation DLC is so awesome?
Because it decreases chances of getting Geth in U/U matches by 13.3%.

Just played a Gold Geth.

Unpleasant as usual.

There seems to be something new and nasty with them I wasn't expecting. Could be a bug.

Primes or their new drone thingi firing at me, while in cover, the cover is being hit, shields dropped, thrown back out of cover, staggered and standing exposed and then hit by the second shot and death.

Happened at least three times. At least twice the Prime was a fair distance away. Is this what is supposed to happen, if so seems a bit harsh.

Im loosing 25% XP when leveling up a character to avoid those buggy op loosers that Bioware just keep buffing.

Thank you to all the FBWGG farmers and the complainers, now one easy faction that was no problem on launch, has become just bugged and op as heck on any difficulty and big map.

If Bioware did not "fix" the geth by now, it is in their intentions to keep them as they are, and keep buffing them.

Rather have 4 Banshees chase me around the map and forcing em to be on my toes, thinking ahead and communicating with my squad, than 2 rocket troopers or hunters.

Even with 2 rocket troopers and a hunter stunned, all 3 are on their knees, they STILL fire without even looking at you.

Yeah, that's what perplexes me. The fact that they gave the Geth MORE stunlock after months of people complaining that there was too MUCH stunlock while playing them. It's like the design team isn't communicating properly with the community team. :?

Just played against geth a few times after the patch.
Somebody is playing us a trick.
So:
They killed everybody single or double shot. All of them. Seem not to care about your shield gear.
Reviving mates is suicide if there is any geth in the room
Is there something wrong with the missiles' area of impact? Fired them and geth are back in the room in seconds.
They seem to predict where the objectives are and be there in huge numbers before you. Again there is something wrong with the missiles, or geth found a cure against it....

So Geth (or platinum) means now all my missiles/medigels gone and hardly made 2 objectives.

It would be nice if Geth Primes could only throw out one Turret at a time instead of two, to make up for the fact that the Combat Drone actually does something.

For Pyros - if they can't be grabbed, they shouldn't be able to dodge powers. Fair balancing, I'd say.

I agree with this. Right now Prime is one big stagger machine with wicked tendency to throw few turrets behind your cover. It's too much for a boss unit.

If pyro is too heavy to grab then how come they were able to dodge?:blink:

I played against both Cerb and Reapers today and didn't notice anything too out of the ordinary, but the single Geth match I played had an entire round that consisted of me dying, getting revived, and then instantly dying before I could even assume control of my character.

...My team started camping my body for revive medals after the third time. I. LITERALLY. Could. Not. Control. Anything. Downed revived downed revived downed revived. From the first time I went down I lost all character control until the damn wave was over.

Still wouldn't make them any better to play against really.  Bioware needs to totally ditch the crazy stunlocking they gave the Geth in a previous patch.  GIve us control back.  Sure they can still hurt us, but not make us totally useless in the process.

That is exactly the point. It's not like Geth wouldn't do crazy damage anyway, why do they need that much stagger on top of it?

Challenge? They're the easiest class to beat, if you take the easiest approach to the game (camping). They're the most predictable, and they move comparatively slow.

Very few people that complain about the Geth have trouble beating them, and it would be trivially easy to do so if we stayed in cover and held one area (hence White/Geth/Gold farming). The thing is, because of stunlocking and their reaction time, the game punishes you for taking a more aggressive playstyle, which isn't generally as easy. It's like some weird backwards deal where the specific way in which they're challenging is part of what makes them the easiest to beat if you're a lazy player.


^took the words right out of my mouth. Staying in one position and shooting away at things that move towards you slowly (prime, pyros, geth trooper) or keep staying away from you (rocket hunters) is easy but bloody boring. Only hunters form any sort of threat doing that but they are grabbable and their AI lines them up so you can grab them in a line (easiest way to a grab medal).

Agreed. No more UU for me either. I find it mindboggling that they ignored the geth bugs that murder the hell out of us, saying they're "low priority" but they considered it high priority to fix that drone.

Agreed, hunters and rocket troopers can already 2-3 shot most kits in the game so there's really no need for them to stun on every single hit.

I agree, no grab kill pyro's with speed increase and torches given more power, hunters stunlock while staggered or frozen, rocketeer volly, blind shot and through walls, spawn rate seems turned up on rocketeer and hunters, gold is nearly unplayable really again them in a PUG because you really have to get support from the other players and if there dinks you end up trying to solo the round, the firebase white respawn glitch isn't fixed you just end up under the map and p.s. banshee's can port just under the map now and kill you. I'm happy with the changes and fixes but the geth are still broken.

It was only silver, but I managed a solo with a krogan soldier. The new drone is not that bad. I can't wait to level up my quarian infiltrator to hack his drone though. That thing is pretty damn fast, so the last evo (6a) could do a lot of damage.

One thing I've noticed: I had 3 deactivate objectives in my game. I died at least once per objective wave. Was it bad luck or is this a cheap way to prevent solo/farming FBWGG?

I played 5 UUG matches last night, 3 of them were Condor/Geth. Maybe the randomizing algorithm needs some buffing.

When it's not a fun challenge, yeah it sucks. Why would you play a game that is not fun? Challenge is suposed to be fun, not annoying. Atleast in video games.
