Still the best game ever I have ever played. I'm really intrested to see what Halo 4 will bring, but ME3 is still by far the best game I have ever played. I just wish I could continue my Shepard on in ME4.

Just makes me curious, where does the franchise go from here?

* Just got off work and came to check activity here, and wow I am shocked, some people really dont like it that I like the game. I feel sad now...

*I'm suprised how much attention this thread got

I am curious if you believe me3 is the best you ever played, what other games would you consider of "high quality"

I personally hated the game, but I am glad you liked it

Why does that even matter?

I agree OP. ME3 is my favourite game - and i have played a few.

To the others, I'm not sure what gaming experience has to do with it.

Is this question of particular importance to you?

I've been an avid gamer since I owned a 386, longer than some here have been alive or able to hold a controller. Even with a divisive ending, it still ranks among one of the best games ever made.

Me too, OP!

As for the future, the galaxy is huge and still mostly unknown. I think there is still plenty of ways for the franchise to move forward.

If you think this is the best game in the series, never mind the best game you've ever played you must not understand story. Like, at all. Seriously, this had the most broken plot I've ever seen.

How anybody could call this a good game is beyond me, it's actually incomprehensible.

It beats ME2 by like a percentage point to become my favorite in the trilogy. I'd say it's my fifth or sixth favorite game.

Funny how opinions work.

I haven't quiite decided if ME3's better than ME2 or not, myself. I'll have to do another trilogy run first.

The fact that Mass Effect 2 didn't have a plot, and Mass Effect 3's plot was utterly broken aren't opinions. They're objective facts.

Now, you can of course like Mass Effect 2 (despite not having a plot) or Mass Effect 3(despite the plot being a broken mess) the most, but you can only do so if you don't care about the games' story.

That's an "opinion", though a rather poorly formed one.

Really? What's the objective definition of "utterly broken plot"? And if ME2 has no plot, then neither does BG2. Which is OK if you hate BG2 too. Do you?

If you're going to set yourself up as the Authority on Legitimate RPG Plots, then you need to do a bit more work.

Edit: there's a legitimate argument to be made that plots like BG2's and ME2's are obsolete and should no longer be used. If that's your argument we can just stipulate it -- no sense getting into that here..

Yeah that wasn't dripping with a condescending tone.  "You like something I don't so I think you are not as intelligent as I am."  Someone needs some humble pie.

I would personally love to see a trilogy from an older cycle. One where we all know very well that Repears will harvest thier cycle. It could make for an emotional epic to fight even though we know in the end, we will lose. Maybe even make the prothean cycle. I don't know, there so much they can do with it.

Yeah it is a close call between ME 2 and ME 3 for me as well.  ME 2 was just really well made and in my opinion the most polished game of the series.  But then again ME 3 was the most intense game of the series that didn't let up.  Hard to say both games have their strengths.
