You do realize your chances of avoiding a ban become smaller by the minute right? While at the same time the chances of getting this thread locked keep raising. A pro-ME3 person like you wouldn't want that to happen to a pro-ME3 thread, would you?

I suppose that's something, hopefully others won't make the same idiotic mistakes Bioware did. Or they will and it'll result in another gaming crash; I'm fine with either to be honest.

Another big fail of ME2 was the overblown threat of the Collectors. We see an unupgraded SR-2 completely wrecking their glorified transport ship with ease but yet the narrative is claiming they're capable taking on the entire Alliance fleet and harvesting Earth?

F out of here with that BS.

Well, let's be fair here. I think it's only claimed that the Collectors are going to attack Earth once, so it's probably just one of those derp moments that Shepard is often capable of providing (ie. "Genophage = FCW lolz") rather than any actual threat of it happening.

Well, during the exposition right before fighting Space Terminator EDI says "millions will be needed, perhaps more" when it comes to completing it. So. yeah...

Most people don't hate ME3 but only the ending of ME3. And they hope that something will happen if they voice their dissatisfaction here on BSN.

Just speaking personally I find it rare that people who liked Mass Effect 3 are willing to explain why, so when I see a positive thread I tend to look for that explaination.

People who dislike the game and/or its ending generally, from my observations, are willing to explain why. People who like however tend to simply say "I enjoyed it."

While they are no way required to provide more than that of course,. it does mean the "hater" posts have the appearence of being more dominant.

If one side of the discussion doesn't get involved, then of course the other is going to seem to be taking over.

This. The ME3 lovers always feel the need to challenge the views of the "haters", but when a "hater" asks the "lover" to explain his love for ME3, the "lover" often seems unable to do so. Imo it's kinda weak to challenge the views of the "hater" if you can't even justify or back up your own views.

I sometimes get the feeling that this "love" for ME3 is just pure irrational fanboyism. Of course more power to the fanboy for loving something and being so passionate about it, but please don't start discussions with the "haters" if you're not even capable of backing up your own fanboy views with proper arguments.

PS: The reason why I'm so passionate in my hatred towards ME3 and BioWare/EA is because I used to be as much of a Mass Effect fanboy as all the fanboys posting here. I was a super duper ultra Mass Effect fanboy. But ME3 just ruined it for me. ME3 is a reall really really crappy game. In hindsight ME2 wasn't that good either. It's ME1 that made me fall in love with Mass Effect.

Thing is, threads are usually talking about specific issues with the game (this one's something of an exception), and what keeps a thread going is disagreement. A thread about "wasn't feature X great" always dies real fast unless someone hates X. The dynamic here is very likely to be a hater talking about something he hates, and then a bunch of lovers coming by to tell him that they disagree.

I suppose I could start threads about how, say, more linearity and less exploration were really great ideas for ME3. But I'm not strongly motivated to do that. After all, I've already got my way with ME3. If I'm going to bring the subject up it'll likely be on the DA3 board.

That's all nice and all if the lovers actually tried to back up their opinion with arguments or at least try to explain why they think the hater is "wrong". Some lovers do this, but some don't.

But when it comes to starting topics, it's always so that the haters who open new "hate topics" justify their hatred in their opening post, but the lovers never seem to do this. "Love topics" usually start with nothing more than just "well I actually loved ME3 and I don't care what you haters say!" I never see them giving a description of why they loved ME3 and what exactly they loved about it.

Do you enjoy stooping to personal attacks and petty insults KotorEffect3? If you don't have any real arguments to say, just say nothing at all. You have been reported.

And for the record: writing your posts in bold does not strengthen your (non-existent) arguments whatsoever.

A little hard to for you take the moral high ground and running of to cry about me when you were being insulting in your posts toward me and that other poster just because we have a different opinon on ME 2 than you do.  The mods will see your hypocracy and either come down on both of us or not come down at all.

I have not attacked you once in this thread. If you find my posts insulting than that is your problem, the problem lies with you. But I'l let the mods figure it out. We'll see what happens.

Well ain't you a bit late to the party? :P

I'm not mad though. Well, perhaps I am a bit mad over the fact that ME3 sucks donkey balls, but other than that? Nope, not mad.

Now GTFO with your silly internet toughguy talk. :D

I like Mass Effect 3 because it pulled at my heart strings. All the characters I had met over the course of the series saw the fufillment of their characters in very powerful ways. The themes presented in the game really reverberted well with me, I deeply enjoyed the plot of Rannoch and the development of Legion and the Geth in general.

I also heavily enjoyed seeing the universe I so love dealing with a war. It was interesting to see how the different civilizations were dealing with such a large scale war.

The combat in ME3 is also imo the best of the series, I actually enjoyed using my powers and squadmates power to set off tech bursts and biotic explosions. The combat was much more engaging and fluent than in any of the previous games.

The side missions, while fewer in numbers, where very well done. Going to Grissom academy and seeing how Jacks character had developed was very interesting for me, as was seeing Grunt and the Rachni queen.

Basically, i love Mass Effect 3 for its superior character development, themes and improved combat. There, happy? Now ****** off you arrogant ****.

Played Me3 again.
Hell, it still sucks. That did not change, I gave it a chance.

And it brings me enjoyment that developers **** THEIR PANTS before ANY game releases...
WHY? Cause they are afraid to loose GIGANTIC AMOUNTS of money.
You did not like Res Evil 6?
Well, it shows what gaMEs industry is.
Gaming industry IS survival horror.
Games are trying to appeal to everyone.
Games are loosing their distinctiveness, cause game makes want to make them everything for everyone.
That's why games appealing to so called "Hardcore gamers" are good. That's why Indi games are so popular.

ME3 is a shell of what ME-series stood for, and even when ME1 was appealing to wider audience than a "regular" RPG, it was original, and You could tell the difference between ME1 and any game by just listening to the list of traits somebody was doing. You did not need to see the bloody game to tell it is not Gears of War with slightly better writing.

Is this the best you can come up with?
Almost all of the things you mentioned are somehow non existent in ME3 or dumbed down compared to ME1/2. (one of the major problmes I have with ME3) What character development?  What side missions? What  fulfillment? What we've got was bare minimum of these aspects.  We haven't even see our friends and all war assets in the final battle.
And I'm very sorry, but the combat in ME2 was more realistic and in my opinion it was better.
I don't understand why some of you ppl have such low standarts about the game.
