While playing through Leviathan, on Namakli, there's a point where you have to repair a bridge, then go up a ladder, then back down again.  I repair the bridge, I go up the ladder, and then when I try to go down again (either the same ladder or the next one to move on) for some reason Shepard won't go down.  I just hang there for a moment then automatically goes back to the standing normally.  I have tried restarting the game, restarting Origin, and restarting my computer, but none of these things work.  Does anyone else have this problem or know a solution??  I can't move on in the game now until this is solved. 

EDIT 2: Thanks anyway for the help.  It's still doing it, but randomly is allowing me to continue.  I hope they figure this bug out soon!

This bug affects almost any ladder in the game. It happened to me during the mission in the Ardat-Yakshi monastery; another time, I got it on Sur'Kesh. When you try to climb up or down a ladder and it's occupied by one of your squadmates, you get stuck, and you only have to reload a previous savegame. So, to avoid this bug, you'd better save the game when you see the ladder in distance, and reload this savegame if you get stuck.

im having the same problem with the same ladder and reloading a previous savegame does not work for me.
It's very annoying, and since i payed 10 dollars for it, i just expected it to work. There's is another way to make it work right?

Same problem, same ladder, I tried reloading but it still doesn't work. I hope I won't have to restart whole mission... so frustrating.

The last time it happened to me I kept on trying to climb the ladder for a while, and finally I did it. I don't know if this method is helpful, because I did it only one time so far.

Yeah, thanks guys! I kept trying over and over until it worked, too, but they really need to fix that bug 'cause I don't wanna be doing that every time I play. @_@

Lucky You... after about 10 reloads and countless (I stopped counting when I reached 50) attempts to go down that ladder and two glasses of whiskey to calm my nerves, I'm done with Leviathan. I think I have to wait for a patch.

I just kept going and going until I suddenly found myself at the bottom of the ladder, so....  It took quite a few tries.  Like, maybe 15 or so.  Good luck!

Oh, found a way. Sent my squadmates to get down first and just then shepard gets down. Perhaps shepard just wanted to make sure the ladder was safe?

anyways, try it that way if that doesn't work, rage quit.

Tried that too and still nothing...
Since I play vanguard I even tried to charge the husks crawling up that container but I can't get lock on them.
It looks like I'm stuck for good on that roof.

OMG! I just did it!


I gave order to the team to go down but reached the ladder before them and Garrus kind of pushed my Shepard so she grabbed the ladder and slid down.

i must of played through that patch differently to everyone else cos the only ladder i used was one going up, everything else i jumped off oO

oh and i was lobbing grenades all over the place blowing everything up, i guess i'll have ot go play though sp from the start again at some point just to test out if its a class specific problem or not (btw i was playing as infiltrator) because asside from getting stuck in the cockpit and a few other spots in the map this didnt really happen, and i figured out through trial n error what spots to avoid when going ot chat to people (oh yeah i had like 100 saves when ever i went ot leave the galaxy map so i didnt loose hours n hours of game play after i made a mistake in that once )

For anyone else who gets stuck going down the ladder try reducing the resolution to 800x600. This worked for me. There are alternate suggestions in the main thread:
