There was no gambling at the Hanged Man. That's about the only thing that was lacking.
Honestly, though, I detest gambling mini-games. I'm a terrible gambler and mini-games just take up space that could be better utilized with more quests, companion banter and other junk that the game does a lot better.

Well if there was one good thing about Dragon Age 2 at least the hanged man had nice music.
Go find one, they are everywhere.ladyofpayne wrote...

Though romanticized in film and literature bar fights are not pretty .

Actually, that sounds pretty relaxing.Chris Priestly wrote...
A realistic tavern? Really?
You mean one where some locals go each evening to have a quiet drink and talk about the days farming or local politics?
The one where the bartender knows his patrons and addresses them by name. He jokes with the locals, but is polite and professional with strangers. He likely has a wife that will cook a meal for some extra money.
The one where there is a cozy fire on cold nights and has a few old men sitting outside on a bench during warm days?
The sort that nothing exciting ever happens in? The one without men in cloaks waiting in dark corners or people seekign the help of strangers to aid in a strange and exotic quest? The one that is open from 2pm till 11pm and then everyone heads home?
The one without floozies, doxies and women of the night looking for clientel?
The one where the city watch never break down the doors looking for escaped prisoners or wanted outlaws?
That "realistic" tavern? Really?

Yes, and I'd like to be able to roleplay a merchant who manages to avoid getting involved in anything remotely related to inquisitions, or even better can I be one of the old men sitting outside on a bench? j/kChris Priestly wrote...
