Ok- So I am trying a solo run with a mage/cleric and saw a post about being able
to put three spells together and release them at one time via a spell trigger.

Can someone point me to where I can find more info about this?

I do see the button in special activities, but have no clue as to how to attach the spells to that button.

Thanks

Spell trigger is a level 8 mage spell, so I'm afraid you won't get to see it in BG1 (unless you use heavy modding).

You simply cast the sequencer/trigger spell. This lets you pick the 2-3 spells you want to store in it.

There are three such spells:
Minor Sequencer (4th-level arcane spell): stores 2 spells, up to 2nd-level
Spell Sequencer (7th-level arcane spell): stores 3 spells, up to 4th-level
Spell Trigger (8th-level arcane spell): stores 3 spells, up to 6th-level

In BG1 (played as Tutu), you'll only see the Minor Sequencer.

You would need a mod in order to get minor sequencer, since the scroll doesn't exist in BG1.

Could it somehow appear anyway? I'm asking because in chapter 7, I found a scroll on some nasty enemy, and to my big surprise it was a level 7 spell called Cacofiend. It looks pretty backfire-y, but I was very surprised it showed up at all. Was playing through easyTutu if that matters.

If this was with no other mods, it's a crazy find. Do you remember which enemy it was?

You can get a Maze scroll if you play with NPC Project, and SCS adds a couple of otherwise-BG2-specific scrolls (none higher than 5th-level, though).

My freakiest scroll find is a scroll of Non-Detection (3rd-level spell) on a random xvart.

I did have the NPC installed, but with the absolute minimum because I didn't like the interjections at all because it happened in so strange places and timings, but since I had it installed when I started the playthrough I had to reinstall it when the save was transferred to the desktop because a dwarf in BG didn't have a name and I worried if stuff would get messed up in the future without the mod installed.

Other than that I don't have any that should change behaviour. Some BG2 Tweaks (bags of holding, max hp etc), and the Fixpack, plus UB.

*** Spoilers for BG1 here! ***

It was at the end of the Thieves' Maze. When I talked to Winski he summoned some kind of demon that I had to fight. Could this be due to the NPC mod? It was talking with Dynaheir if I recall correctly. The demon/fiend didn't show up in the first playthrough so it caught me quite by surprise. We killed him without many problems, however, and when I checked the loot there was this Cacofiend scroll. Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it was level 7. Picked up the Maze spell somewhere too, but I can't recall where that was.

Don't have SCS installed btw. Tougher battles is the last thing I need! :D

Ah, this is certainly from NPC Project. I know Dynaheir has some interjection with Winski but I have not seen it myself (have not had her in the party that late in the game).

The Maze scroll comes from Dynaheir's quest (from the same mod) about finding her journal. It involves Drizzt and two different packs of gnolls.

The guy at the end of the thief maze just lays there bleeding in vanilla. Anything he does beyond talk to you is a result of a mod.

My wierdest find so far has been a scroll of pierce magic from one of the goblins in Chez Jon. Normally they just drop Identify and Friends. I was considerably surprised when I saw the icon.

Scrolls for BG2 spells do exist in a TuTu install, but they won't show up without making changes. You can use the console to cheat them up (you haven't seen funny til you've done a BG1 playthrough where you give a stack of 255 Time Stop scrolls to Imoen or Dynaheir), or have a mod that plugs them in.
