They were the most useless feature. They didn't even have a high value. It was so infuriating to loot a chest to discover that I found a moth-eaten scarf. Dafuq was that for?
chests in DA:O contained those items, which they made useless in DA2, however I used to find a number of weapons and armor that were of no use to me as well. Ya they had some junk items still but they were few compared to other items you would find and routinly make your money off of.scootermcgaffin wrote...
Only if by "regular gear" you mean "elfroots and deep mushrooms"Si-Shen wrote...
The junk items were designed to flesh out the loot, its not like you had to pick up most junk items and you could destroy them. Frankly they were needed to flesh out the inventory in DA2, if it had been more like DAO where you could get more regular gear to fill those spots it would not be needed. I personally don't care either way if the items go or stay, they resulted in more gold for me so meh. Its not a major concern.

OP obviously never had the joy of surreptitiously pulling out a pair of Torn Trousers or an Empty Stained Bottle from a dusty abandoned wooden box in a dilapidated street corner.

But you knew not to throw it away because it said Sten's sword and was labeled as a gift.

And what about all those daggers, leather armors, etc you picked up in DAO?
After 2 hours of gameplay that too was just junk.
But sure, I agree that I like more to pick up actual items then trash.
