I tried and I tried and I tried but I still cannot get onto the servers and one of my friends has with no effort. I have trouble getting onto the Bioware website but with some time I got onto there.
I am playing on the Xbox 360 and have downloaded the latest patch. I haven't got any other EA or Bioware game sto test out the internet connection but I can play Gears of War 3 just fine which quite annoying.
Please help because I want to be able to do the challange this weekend?!
Thank you!

I am having the same isuue since the patch came out yesterday. I would connect to EA Servers and then it would disconnect a couple minutes later, if I was lucky. Today it either will not connect at all or it connects shortly and disconnects.

It maybe related to individual profile accounts. I just recovered my profile and it signed right in and has been connected for 5 minutes now. It is only 5 minutes but I am keeping my fingers crossed.

After recovering my xbox profile the EA server connected right away and has been connected for over 7 hours now. Not sure if that is what fixed the issue for me or if it was fixed on their end.

Contacted Origin live chat and the answer I got was that they have problems with the servers worldwide. Must wait until they get them working.

I try out recovering my Xbox live account, that didn't work, sad to say, but I just did a hard reset of my wireless network and router for my internet connection and I'm happy to say I'm back in the fight, in online again, so try out a hard reset, turn off your internet router and WiFi network.

Just happened to me for the second time today. The first time, however, my connection to Xbox Live was also severed. I assumed it was just my ISP getting hit by lightning or something.
EDIT: Did I mention that I was disconnected during the extraction wave of a Gold level game? No payout for me.

i talked to a friend and apperently it was the Origin servers that were crashing and causing the problem. i think they solved the problem because i haven't had the issue for a while now and everything seems to be back to normal for the online

I'm having this problem at present - it's been very flaky for a few days. I thought it was related to my unblock-us settings, but that seems unlikely if lots of other people are having similar problems

I got to round 4 in a match with the new dlc and that was 2 hours ago. I'm still not connecting to the server bed having this problem since that last title update and its starting to get irritating.

[Note: Downloading my Gamertag fixes the issue below but so that Bioware is aware, I have detailed the issues I had the pass several days.]
I had a similar problem after playing on a buddy's 360 using my profile loaded on to a USB thumb drive. I managed to play a match but noticed that all of the server loads were taking a lot longer on his console than even he experiences.
When I brought my gamertag home to play on my console, as soon as the game loaded up, I saw that on the front screen that it had a new prompt "{Y} to Connect to EA Servers" which I have never seen before. When I hit {Y}, it brought up the Gamertag selection screen within the Xbox Dashboard menu and did not list my current gamertag. When I backed out, I noticed that what was happening was that I was being disconnected from Xbox LIVE without being told and whenever I tried to reconnect to Xbox LIVE after I loaded up Mass Effect, it would never reconnect (my Xbox is connected via ethernet--wireless connections are not a factor here). The only way to reconnect to Xbox LIVE was to reset my Xbox (and not load up Mass Effect again).
Out of furstration, I attempted multiple things and eventually figured out a workaround by loading up Mass Effect, hitting {Y} to connect to the EA Servers, selecting an alternative GOLD or SILVER -enabled Gamertag (it will likely have you sign up for Origin at this point for the new gamertag if you haven't already done so) and then I immediately log-out of that gamertag and switch back to my primary GOLD-enabled Xbox LIVE account. \\
It works and I never get dropped after that, the only problem is that if I leave the game, I am automatically disconnected from Xbox LIVE again (without being told so) and will need to reboot my Xbox to use any other online feature (such as Netflix or another game).
This issue persists regardless of which console I attempt to login to the EA Servers on but does seem to be resolved by first Downloading (Recovering) my Gamertag via Xbox LIVE.
