Well, I haven't beaten the game yet, but I'm stuck deciding between two characters I really want to play and I'm not sure when I'll get the chance to give the game a second run.

Does race have a big impact on the ending or is it mostly the same with a few minor changes?

I'm torn between a Dwarf Commoner (Warrior) or Human Noble (Rogue), if that makes any difference.

But uh... just looking for a general idea, not huge spoilers hehe.

Yes. In at least one instance your origin has an effect on the ending. Haven't beaten the game with all origins so I don't know which ones have a direct effect on the end. I know the Mage origin had no effect.

The only Origin that has a very big impact on the ending is the Human Noble Origin.

It doesn't really matter whether you're a Dwarf Commoner or Dwarf Noble but Human Noble can change a lot of things for you.

I won't spoil too much but remember that you're a Noble. And Nobles aren't commoners ;-).

What gender are you going to pick? If you're making a female character and like Alistair you definitely want to go the Human Noble route.

Ah-ha, well I was planning on going the male route with this character.

I do know what you're talking about so-far as the Human Noble is concerned (stumbled into the wrong thread once lol), so if I did not want to go that specific route, then it probably doesn't matter much, does it?

Not much of a difference then. Just pick the race you like the most. You'll be looking at him for over 50 hours :).

Hey, becoming a paragon is worth something! So don't say there isn't some satisfaction in the other endings.
