This new site is absolutely fantastic! The addition of Groups is particularly fun, but it's easy to overlook a group that might work for you if you're just enjoying the forums.

Consider this thread an open invitation to promote your group, describe your group, and show your chops to potential members!

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Group Name
Zorkers

About Us
An old fogey group for the very crustiest of RPG players. Whether you're old in body or merely old-at-heart, join us for a discussion of games we've loved, servers we've run, and generally mature discussion of all topics Dragon Ageish.

Once multiplayer is operational, we'll also be hosting a PW server. Until then we invite deep discussion on building and development topics in a moderated, grown-up environment.

Some of the topics for this group might include:

How To Build a Team For Your Project
Starting a Project
Outlining a Project
Keep It Simple, Sauron
Building Specs (best practices, tools)
Organizing Information
Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Test
Incept, Elaborate, Construct, Transition

If anyone is interested please feel free to sign up.

What purpose to groups even have? Do they have their own chat sections or forums? If not, why join the 'Zorkers' at all, when we're all discussing things amongst the same pool of community members anyway?

Also: I have a feeling there won't ever be multiplayer.

It's a fun way to spend some time before the game comes out, and a nice way to meet some like-minded players :)

And even without multiplayer, it'll be great to use the Toolset and create mods aplenty!

That's correct for Dragon Age: Origins. It's possible that in DA2 there will be multiplayer or BioWare might even build an MMO on the property.

I've got one, and you actually joined recently, Arkosis.:

Down in Dixie

About:
Love it or hate it, it's home for some of us. A group for Bioware fans that currently reside in the American Southern states. Not meant to be a Confederate-glorifying club or anything; just a place for those south of the Dixie line to enjoy games, discussions, and anything Bioware related.

I made one for my friends, mostly just to play with the service more than anything. The entire social networking site seems so slick that it's fun just to mess with.

I´m Brazilian and it wold be nice to have a easy way to find people from my country. Some questions can be interesting just to us, like: when it will start to be sold here? The online shops here haven´t start the pre-order.
This is why I requested participation in a Brazilian group.

Well, I just made a group, and came here to promote it.

Ser Cauthrien fans, unite!
Description:
For people who are already a fan of her character, even with the little information we have.
If you are curious which "important role" she will play at Dragon Age and can't wait to meet her character in-game, join us!

It's just a place for her fans to discuss her character a bit.
